Ahhhh, you know what? I don’t think I HAVE any that I can recall which has this idea in it. Most of my recs are “fake relationship” or “ridiculous pining” or “friends to lovers”, LOL. Sorry I’m useless this time!

Description:
Sherlock and John go undercover at Ravine Valley, a therapy centre for same-sex male couples in an investigation into a possible human trafficking ring. As they pose as a couple and fake their way through the therapy sessions for the sake of the case, it quickly becomes difficult to avoid discussing their very real issues. Set roughly six nine months after series 4.Review: Just wow. I am continually blown away by the talent of this author, especially for this fic. I am always hesitant to read post s4 fics, but I have come to learn some they are some of the best in terms of emotional intimacy and communication, and this fic is definitely one of those. This series is in two parts. The first, the case fic with the fake relationship trope (don’t we love it), and the second installment is the planning of their wedding. But even that has some angst! Don’t worry, everything ends happy. They learn to communicate and work through their many problems with the help of the therapists and their own determination to not lose each other again. Rosie is not in the picture in this fic, she died before this story began, but the author acknowledges John’s emotional reaction and grief to the event in both installments that, ngl, nearly made me cry. This fic has a way of bringing all ofout favorite tropes together and making it more sophisticated than you would think possible.

Hey, look at this!! My fic In the Still of the Night just reached 10,000 hits! :))) This one is about Sherlock and John having just started to navigate life post-series 4 when John makes an untimely declaration of his feelings. Sherlock, feeling that their friendship is already on very tenuous footing, turns him down. Right after that, Mycroft sends them off to the northeast coast of England to investigate local UFO sightings, while sharing a tiny cottage. It’s awkward. Lol. Insert many more awkward late-night conversations, terrorists, and a lot of very rural setting, and voilà! Thanks to everyone who’s read this one, especially if you liked it, haha! :) This is my 56th fic (out of the 84 I currently have in this fandom) to reach 10,000 hits and it’s always super exciting. Thank you so much!!
