#I think the best bit about this #is the way John sort of stares for a second into space #as if he’s repeating that over in his head to make sure sherlock really said that #and then is just like #i mean really sherlock you’re so smart but you’re so dumb jesus #and lestrade looks like he’s biting down on something idk
I love that I don’t know who’s the sassy bitch in this scene.

Ooooh this is all amazing, makes me admire you a little bit more with every new fact I learn about you. I love your nails, and I’m definitely a nail polish collector. But I started doing manicure for my nails few months ago and actually don’t use nail polish that much rn, but it looks so good on your nails. I have a similar shade a friend gifted it to me .
As for the t shirt, sounds amazing. Also lifting weights. You’re awesome ❤
If lifting weights has taught me anything, it’s that men hate strong women. The men who use my gym, at least. A few weeks ago, one guy told me that I would be hotter if I were lifting less weight. Another one once told me that his girlfriend lifts lighter weights but does lots of reps so that her muscles don’t get bulky. I straight up told him that I wanted my muscles to be bulky, lol. That shut him up. And I love the feeling of being strong. I live by myself in the middle of a rather crime-infested city (big meth problem, lots of poverty) and it’s comforting to know that I could defend myself if need be.
I make myself downsize my nail polish collection semi-regularly. It’s hard. :P

We all...

We all put a lot of thought into his outfits. I get to wear very well-cut, good-looking suits although there’s so little waist that sometimes I can’t breathe or digest properly. The sad thing is that I had a coat very similar to Sherlock’s before I got the role – it was a present from someone – but I can’t wear it out in public now, which is sad.

Sherlock Holmes. Tough on the buttons. Easy on the eyes.
@bakingsherlycakes @silentauroriamthereal I know we’ve all posted this at one time or another but it’s a classic and we can never tire of a classic can we
Oh, dear God
Breathing is boring, right?

Oh, fun!
I actually just thought of a random fact about myself that I didn’t think I’d ever shared with peeps on here before, but I’ve forgotten what it was now… hmm.
1. As @totallysilvergirl could attest to, I have a ridiculous resumé. How ridiculous, you ask? So ridiculous that I actually have five different versions that I’ll use, depending on what the job is. In no particular order, here are some of the jobs I’ve had:
horseback riding instructorESL professorfreelance opera singermovie reviewerretail slave (clothing/body products/cards & giftware)sous cheftelemarketerbank tellercanoeing instructorchoir conductorvoice teacherweight loss coachcopy editorcamp counsellortrainer of priests in how to do liturgical chanttranslator (French to English)composer/arranger (primarily arranger)2. I lift weights. Random, right? In a way that would have been unthinkable me anywhere before about a year ago, I’ve somehow turned into a workout nut. I generally alternate between high intensity interval cardio and weight lifting with a spot of high intensity cardio (just all-out, maximum heartrate for 10 minutes straight). I outlift all of the gym bros in my building (my shitty building has a shitty in-house gym, aka the main reason why I re-signed my current lease). Just on Wednesday, a dudebro actually asked me if I’m trans (not an insult in any way, rest assured!!) because apparently cis women aren’t supposed to be as muscular as I am. Suck it, dudebro. I am. Die of jealousy. :)
3. My thumbs are double jointed and bend backwards like little bananas. If I hold my hands just so, I can keep it from being noticeable, like so:

But if I stretch my fingers out all the way, then my bendy little thumb will just revert to its normal position, aka:

And if I give someone a thumb’s up without specifically remembering to relax my weird little thumb, then you get this disaster, lol:

4. Speaking of my hands, I just took those photos, and I’d just like to highlight my nail polish. This is a newer addition to my *massive* nail polish collection. It’s an OPI, with the appallingly stupid name of “Boys be thistle-ing at me”. I’m a nail biter and the only thing that helps at all is to keep my nails polished at all times. I occasionally think of myself as somewhat butch (see the weight lifting thing, above), but with long hair and continuously-painted nails, it balances things out to a happy neutral on the femme-butch scale, lol. Feels about right, as a bi woman.
5. Speaking of which: I’m bilingual, and just ordered a t-shirt that says so, but on a bi pride flag. I can’t wait to wear it this June. :P I work in a position that requires English/French bilinguality, which is a status I’m very proud to have achieved, given that I only started learning French seven years ago. Living in Québec City for five years certainly helped, but yeah. Either way, I’m proud of my bi-ness in general. :) My most recent story is the most political one I’ve ever written, and I intended it as a light-hearted outing as compared to some of my other ones, yet it absolutely reveals my personal standing on anti-LGBTQ+ groups and their toxic idealogy! I’m fine with that. :)
