Evening meditation time
Evening meditation time. I have so much to be grateful for. I have a warm home and ample food. My family is in good health. I am able to explore my creativity in writing and artwork. Every day is a gift to treasure if we but stop to see it. #namaste

cyanotype two-layer dress
I created this artwork to submit to the 2018 ArtsWorcester show “After a Fashion” on the theme of the intersection of arts and fashion. It is a cyanotype two-layer dress done in steampunk style with bicycle gears.

Depth of Field
The challenge for the week of Feb 26 to March 4, 2018 at 52Frames.com is the theme of “Depth of Field”. This is about exploring the ways in which the aperture setting on a camera cause a shallow area of focus in an image. Here’s an example done by me, of a flower blossom.
See how the petunia itself is in focus, while the world behind it is out of focus? This is created with a shallow depth of field. The aperture of the lens was wide open, causing that to happen.

The challenge for the week of Feb 19 to 25, 2018 at 52Frames.com was the theme of “Common Objects”. Here is the photo that I took. It’s of the light switch in my office, which inspires me daily. It reminds me to be mindful and serene in all that I do.
What did you take? Share it so we can take a look!

Evening meditation time
Evening meditation time. So much that we agonize over does not matter in the long run. Let it go. Focus on what truly brings you peace and contentment. We are made of stardust and will return back to it far too quickly. #namaste

Levitation photography challenge
The 52Frames.com challenge for this week (ending Feb 18 2018) was a Levitation photography challenge – here’s my entry. Did you submit anything?
I wanted to do something trickier with me sitting on a ‘floating’ meditation cushion but I ran out of time. There’s only 24 hours in a day!

Evening meditation time
Evening meditation time. A friend of mine’s great-uncle died in the Civil War. I video-recorded her telling his story, preserving both a sense of him and of her. So grateful I had this opportunity. Every life is precious and should be remembered. #namaste
