Writing with Noise

Can you write with noise in the background? Do you need it quiet? Or music playing? I find it hard to write if the TV is going. I find the background dialogue quite distracting.  #writing

Deleting Dialogue

I changed my storyline and have to delete three full pages of dense dialogue. Have you had to do that? It’s painful but necessary.

Meditate on Small Steps

Approaching my 10pm #meditation time. Feeling like I’ve made good progress today. A load of dishes done, my Smoothie ebook is publishing, I sent out four packages to various new homes, and I’ve got a nice glass of wine. A good spot for deep breaths. Join me in serenity!

Clearing Clutter

Packed up 2 ebay items, 1 amazon, 1 paperback bookswap and Bob is bringing them all to the post office for me. Decluttering one step at a time, plus bringing in a bit of income too. And making people happy. A win-win-win.

Weekend’s Photos

To catch up a bit on my photo-a-day project.

Here’s Friday’s photo – of a singer getting ready for a gig – painting her nails at the bar’s bar :) .

Saturday – a quiet scene at a memorial service, on a misty morning in New Hampshire.

Sunday – a love song in a lotus flower. The husband wrote a love song for his wife. I printed out the lyrics, cut them into strips, then watercolored them in shades of orange and yellow, plus green for the leaves. I folded it into an origami lotus flower.

Tue photo – blue lights

Tuesday was a busy day for me, but I did take this photo with my cellphone because I was struck with the beauty of the scene. It didn’t quite come out well . But anyway, this is at Viva Bene in downtown Worcester. They have lovely blue lights down the side of the room, and with the artwork and seats it created a visual that appealed to me.

Do Not Complain Reboot 30 Day 3

Do Not Complain Reboot 30 Day 3 -

A good example of the process I go through. Last night (well, technically, this morning) I was curling up in bed with Bob on one side and Juliet the cat on the other. Both began snoring :) . Part of me thought, “really? I’m sleepy.” But then I gave it thought. Both are in good health. We are a contented family. Would I prefer that one or both were not there?

So I gave each of them a warm hug and appreciated that they were there with me, however that happened to be. And they both stopped snoring! And life was blissful :) .

I just woke up, Bob is serenading me with lovely guitar music, and I’m having my morning shake. Life is lovely.

Meditate

Preparing for my 10pm meditation. Focusing on appreciating all I have in life. Every day is a gift. #mediate #serenity Join me!

… Lovely meditation. We have a gently flickering fire, the kitty is sprawled before it; Bob serenaded me with his guitar. Life is to be savored.
