Clan Mackenzie Book 4

I've taken some time off from the series but am now back to working on Clan Mackenzie, Book 4.

Here's the blurb:

When Christie Mackenzie is invited to the Macintosh clan’s keep, she gets the attention not only of the dark, rakish and brooding Thane Macintosh but also Blake, who is as different to his older brother as it is possible to be. Blake is equally as handsome, or even moreso, and possesses a cavalier charm and golden beauty that has women lining up for a chance to engage him. Both brothers pursue her, and Christie is drawn to each of them in different ways and for different reasons.

But danger ghosts at the fringes of the Macintosh brothers' world, drawing Christie deeper into the layered mysteries that surround them. As passion, jealousy and lust entwine, Christie is torn between brothers and threatened by a secret war that will claim her innocence and seal her destiny…

I'll post more updates about the release – aiming for mid-2015 – soon heart

New Release!

New Release!

This book is one that I wrote several years ago, titled DOVE.  I've recently completely revised it and have decided to self-publish the e-book on Amazon for any readers who might be interested – it's only $.99, and free on Kindle Unlimited!  It's a historical romance, although a total departure from the Scottish highlands :)   Here's the blurb:

~~Weaving a vivid tapestry of fiction and fact, DOVE takes us to another time and place … and deep into the heart of a forbidden, extraordinary love affair between a Native American seer and a young frontiersman.

Dove’s older brother Hawk is chief of her tribe, and this allows her certain privileges: namely, to indulge her free-spirited nature as she hunts and gathers just a little further than home than she should. Dove is several miles upriver when she is startled one typical summer day to discover someone watching her: a very alluring, very forbidden stranger from the settlement across the river.

Dove’s brothers are wary of the frontiersmen, and extremely protective. And so is her closest friend River, whose friendship is sparked with increasingly complicated designs. Nevertheless, Dove is captivated and curious, and she finds the beguiling young settler, Gabriel, is waiting for her. She acts impetuously, swept away by an uncontrollable attraction.

But Dove’s adventurousness is the least of Hawk’s worries. Hawk has no choice but to lead a war party to fight alongside Gabriel’s brothers’ troops, to defend both their territories. And Dove is compelled to follow them, hidden.

An epic of romance, myth and history, DOVE entwines the fate of a mythical Native American tribe with the destiny of two star-crossed lovers, taking readers on an enthralling and passionate journey.~~

I hope you enjoy it!

For those of you still waiting for Book 4 in the Clan Mackenzie series, I'm now looking at a release date of June 2015.  Sorry for the delay and thanks for your patience!

xoxo,

Juliette

The Next Chapter

Hello, friends! I have been completely out of the social media scene lately. My reclusive writer streak has been inhabiting me, feeding my mind-roves and sending me into week-long writing frenzies, which is a state of mind I enjoy immensely. I’m also gearing up for RT Booklovers in NEW ORLEANS – woohoo! I’ve never been there and am hugely excited. If you are coming to RT this year, look me up at the Giant Book Fair and the Pirates, Scallywags and More event on Wednesday, May 14, from 6 to 7 pm!

In the meantime, HIGHLANDER ENCHANTED will be the title of Book 4 of the Clan Mackenzie series. It is the story of Christie Mackenzie and Blake Macintosh and will be full of high-stakes drama. These two do not have an easy road But they are made for each other and I’m having a blast writing their story.

A side note: my first three books were published by HQN, who I think are fabulous. I did have the option of a fourth book with them but have decided to take the plunge and self-publish the book. This means I have more work to prepare for the launch of the book, and some of this is new territory for me. First of all, I need cover art. It needs to fit with the series yet also stand out as separate from the original trilogy. I want to get it right. I also need more editorial input from beta readers. Working with my editor at HQN was such a great experience, and taught me so much. I want to make sure I take all that I’ve learned on board. And I won’t be releasing the book until it’s as good as it can be. I also have to promote the book. So the entire process will take a little longer to get to e-shelves. And that’s another detail that’s new: HIGHLANDER ENCHANTED will be release as an e-book ONLY. But, since this was also the option presented by HQN, I’m hoping that readers will find it just as accessible. When it’s ready, it will be available through Amazon, Nook and NetGalley, to begin with. As soon as I have a cover and am getting closer to publishing the book, I will list it on Goodreads so readers can add it to their shelves. At this point I’m aiming for a November 2014 release date.

So, thank you to my readers for your patience and your support! I love hearing from you and always enjoy reading your emails and messages. Thank you to all of you who have written to me and to those who have rated and reviewed my books!

xoxo,

Juliette
