Huge Halloween Giveaway! (CLOSED)
So I had been planning on writing a free, slightly creepy story and putting it up (for free!) on Halloween to celebrate my favorite non-religious holiday.
However ... I ran into, shall we say, some problems with that plan.
Since I've been meaning to do a ginormous give away and I figured Halloween would be as good a time as any to do it.
As witnessed by this very blurry photo, taken far too early in the morning, I will be giving away real paper and ink copies of:

"making the whole world LGBTQA is unrealistic" or why I find this common writing wisdom to be false
A rule of thumb for writing LGBTQA characters or fiction whether you write romance, literary fiction or fan fiction seems to be you can't make the whole world queer.
One or two queer people is great. That's why we are here after all. The main couple will be queer, maybe some close friends but more than that and it becomes unrealistic. The whole world after all isn't LGBTQA.

A Writerly Update: paperback novels and the apocalypse
I had a really busy Friday, with a number of meetings one of which ran long, a paper to rewrite and then I inspected over thirty-four apartments in the evening.
