Rant of the Day:

Future inflation.


If Obama stays, we keep Bernanke. If we elect Romney, Joe Weisenthal predicts one candidate we could get in the Fed is Gred Mankiw, someone who’s policies would “make Bernanke blush.” 


It’s very clear we are going to get a lot more printing regardless who wins the White House.


And that can only lead to one thing.

Productivity growth in the last decade, at more than 2.5 percent, they observe, is higher than the 1970s, 1980s and even edges out the 1990s. Still the economy, they write, did not add to its total job count, the first time that has happened over a decade since the Depression.
