Definition of H.O.T.

So what is your idea of hot?

It could be the weather. Right now in PA, it is about 86 degrees, yes it has been hotter but wow, the humidity is up there pretty good.  I'm in and out so I feel the difference when I go from my luxury geo thermal cooling system to the outdoor heat.

This is me today.  Just sitting on my deck in the shade.  This is in between cleaning indoors and taking a break and reading outdoors - 50 Shades of Grey. So technically, I'm Shading it today.
Nice way to...

Feature and Follow Friday

Feature and Follow Friday is a blog hop hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read.

Question: If you could “unread” a book, which one would it be? Is it because you want to start over and experience it again for the first time? Or because it was THAT bad? I myself loved the Fever Series by Karen Marie Moning. I would love to start over and relive each book from the start. They were really that good.  I don’t know if I could pick just one from the series. They are so intertwined that it ju...

Where does the time go?

Wow, it's amazing how time flies when you are older.  I remember back in my grade school days and the summers would last forever.  I could go non-stop morning to night and have time to fit all the chores, friends, games and play in.

It is already June 23rd, and half of 2012 is over. Summer may have officially started Wednesday but I always considered June, July and August as summer. Now amazingly enough June is almost over.

I wish I could chalk it all up into havin...

Boost a Book Party

Emily Casey is having a Book a Boost party.  Her website is www.emilycasey.com. It is a chance to win books as well as help authors with getting their books tagged and reviewed.

I never realized how important it was to actually write a review on a book that I have read.  It really does help an author get their book noticed. I also never realized how important it was to tag a book. Honestly, I can't say that I even knew what tagging was until I saw her website.

I have a mission now to...

4 day weekend

Can I just say how wonderful it feels to lay in bed on a Sunday evening knowing I do not have to get up tomorrow and go to work? Weekends go by way too fast but a 4 day weekend is just about right.

It's not like I'm going to sleep in tomorrow anyway, it's just nice knowing I have another day to get stuff done around the house as well as have a little of Me time too.

Hubby and I went kayaking Friday. Now that was nice. Quiet and serene. Guess everyone was working. Saturday was stuff around the h...

Test Read Opportunity

So, yes, I have been addicted to reading, this is true. I've been reading a lot, mostly from indie authors, mainly because of the great prices I can buy their books for my Kindle. Some have ranged from $5.99 down to Free. Now you can't beat free.

There are such wonderful authors too, like K.C. King author of the Tri-Realms Saga, Georgia Cates author of Going Under and The Vampire Agape Series, Emily Casey author of The Ivy Thorn Series, Devyn Dawson author of The Legacy of Kilkenne...

Busy, busy, busy

Busy, busy, busy. This phrase reminds me of Frosty the Snowman, when Santa Clause told the Magician, Professor Hinkle,  he had to go home and write an apology for melting Frosty. "I've got to get busy writing- busy, busy, busy."

Well this describes me. Busy, busy, busy. My timeline is working to some degree but in order to make some progress in some areas, I had to take time away from my blog for one and my kindle as another.

I've finished writing my book but now I'm wo...

Addicted to Reading

So my husband has pointed out that I seem to be obsessed with my kindle, apparently reading hours before I go to bed has become an addiction but watching television in order to help him fall asleep is not considered as such. He calls my kindle and my laptop as electronic appendages. Which I didn't want to admit to him, but that was a pretty funny and most accurate analogy if I do say so myself?

I must admit that I have found myself on the Internet more searching sites and reading blogs fo...

Time Management

My hubby and I are working hard at getting our house on the market, so I tend to spend most of my weekends working on our house. You would think with only being 6 years old, we really shouldn't have much to do, right? Well - wrong.

Having a house built from scratch, there were things we tended to put off, and put off, and. . . put off. Hey, it was our house and we figured we would get to it eventually. I mean, other everyday life priorities would just seem to reign out over pain...

Redheads of the World, Unite!

As my hubby and I were working around the house on Saturday, (re-staining the doorways, painting the doors) he was listening to one of his infamous talk radio shows. That day happened to be Rush Limbaugh. Yes, I know what you may be thinking, but hey it was that or listen to myself hum, which technically, I wouldn't have been able to hear over the loudness of the talk radio show anyway.

Rush was explaining about Genetics and how someday a person would be able to know what kind of chi...
