Muhammadiev was one of the few prose writers and novelists in Tajikistan. His literary work began in 1955 with the publication of the short story "Porchai ostin". First of all, Muhammadiev's essays "Raisi nav" (1955), "Muhojiron" (1956), "Fattoh and Muzaffar" are important studies of the rural economy, the economy of the collective farms and the moral life of the people.
