Catching Up 11/14/2016

Well that happened.

So I’ve been processing the results of the election. Bluntly, as you can guess, I’m not a Trump supporter and I think he’s going to be a terrible president – between his incompetence,his paling around with everyone from white supremacists to opportunists, he’s going to be terrible. We’re not going to be the same after this – even at best we’re a weakened, humiliated country.

Bouncing back from that’s been a bit tough for obvious reasons. So I’m figuring what this means for...

The Pizza Generator Is Here!

Yes, it’s done! The is complete and ready for your culinary randomization!

This one was another generator where I went in for really deep analysis, and I think it paid off. Pizzas are a complex business, and I found specific “pizza patterns” that guided the generator’s design. There were also more than I expected, which got a bit complicated.

With this I need a bit of a break from food...

Pizza Generator In Beta!

Civic Diary 10/18/2016

Jesus it’s been a month since the last Civic Diary? My whole once-a-week experiment truly has not gone well. The last 3 months have been nuts with work, reorgs, andlots of illness. I’ve been sick four times, my roommate three, friends and co workers quite a bit – short form is it seems that kids dragging diseases around produced an unholy synergy. Oh, and allergy season.

So all those plans? Yeah. I gave up and justdonated mone...

So I’m back to work on the pizza generator, using all that data I collected before things got nutty. This one is coming along well, but the data structures are surprisingly complex, so it’s going to take a week or two more to finish depending on my schedule. However the results . . . well they speak for themselves!
