Fabula Zero – First look at rough pencils for page five of Exposition and revision changes for pages 2-4
Continuing our on going open look at the production of the Fabula Zero Exposition book; here is the first look at the pencil rough for page five. This is the last page of the opening comic panels before the book flips into prose mode, see if you can guess what is going on.
Below is a small gallery of the revisions that were needed to made to the last set of pages; more Ninjas were added, Spik gets an extra gun and Spak is happier now he has a blade at the end of his chain. Enjoy and watch out for more updates as we race towards our production deadline of July 31st.

Found in the Archive – They have a Cave Troll as I unbury my Lord of the Rings collection
"They have a Cave Troll," one of my favorite lines in The Lords of the Rings movie because it was said in such an offhand manner by Boromir. This Cave Troll is from my LOTR miniature collection, painted to be part of my Moria Goblin warband and at the time was one of the biggest models available in the range.
The dark skin was painted with Blue Grey and washed three times with Armor Wash, then highlighted in a mix of Blue Grey and Chaos Black. The flesh belly tones started with Dwarf Flesh, blended with with SnakeBite Leather while the paint was wet, and the blended again with Dwarf Flesh; to highlight I used Bronzed Flesh. In all a fun miniature to paint and to use in the Games Workshop Lord of the Rings Strategy game.

First Look – Movie Captain America in USO stage outfit
Here we have the movie Captain America resplendent in his USO outfit in these sneaky peak pictures. It is a nice homage to the contemporary Cap outfit; I will admit the first Avenger does look a little dorky, like he is in his Grandma's balaclava, but I am glad to see the classic outfit wasn't ignored. Fabula Zero – Exposition the first four rough pencil layout pages
Just giving you another sneak peak at the production work going on for the Fabula Zero Exposition story. In the Gallery below you can take a gander at the first four rough pencil layout pages by Bill Young. The roughs give us an idea of how the action from the comic script will play out across the page, and at this point any major changes or details are added… Like for example, add more Ninjas or Spik needs two guns. Please let us know your thoughts, very soon we hope to bring you a preview the first fully laid out complete pages; and yes I am geeking out over seeing my character Captain Avenger come to life on these pages.
