The Tether alternative cover art and study by Steven 'Sash' Scott
I know at times this blog feels like an excuse to talk about comics, or any subject other than my writing and books. I do have a piece of pretty cool news to share with you. Although the primary project The Tether: Fabula is on hold Steven 'Sash' Scott of Sovereign Pictures Studios is still doing cover and character studies. Check out the art above, and the rest of the studies over on his drawing board here.

Geek Girl Gallery – The return to Screamers Retro Toy Lair meeting Transformers Soundwave, Wheeljack, Alucard & the Baroness,
Welcome to our second Geek Girl Gallery update featuring the lovely Screamer (aka Rose), this girl is the reigning Queen of Retro Toy and Transformer knowledge and loves to show off her toys, and cosplay outfits. Including her famous Baroness outfit, one of the best on the cosplay circuit. Check out all the pictures after the jump.

Then Wheeljack came along, a very nice if not slightly nerdy Autobot.
Of course the Decepticon's had to turn up and I end up in a pitch battle with Soundwave.
As Soundwave disappears someone claiming to be Cobra Commander or French Mime Artist turned up. You could argue that the Mime Artist would have a more competent plan to take over the world.
Then I met Alucard, everyone else gets bit and I get the gun?
It was worth all the pain and all the suffering to finally met the Baroness…
Again I would like to thank Screamer for all her time and patience dealing with me, and all the costume changes. There is a plan to return and do a large set with Screamer with her updated Baroness outfit, and also introduce some newer cosplay outfits she has been working on. Look out for that update.

Have a Happy and Safe Independence Day Everybody
You all have a safe, and happy Independence day and take a moment from this day to remember all those from American to the Allies who give their lives so you can live free. Freedom isn't free and should be cherished by all those who embrace it, never given away freely, never lost to those who will take your freedoms by wrapping them up in a flag of security. I urge you all to live life, live free and remember why the United States of America is an amazing country that the Founding Fathers envisioned it to be. Be safe, be happy and have a great July 4th.

From the Archive – Attack of the Kroot with KrootOx and Kroothound the Tau Auxiliaries ReKroots of choice
The Kroot are the Tau Auxiliaries of choice, although lightly armored the Kroot Kindred's are a maelstorm of close combat nastiness. Then add the raw power of KrootOx and the viciousness of the Kroot Hounds and they become a juggernaut capable of holding up the flank of any army – which has been the best use of Auxiliaries for centuries.
These Kroot are part of my Tau Cadre which is currently up on Ebay for you to bid one, check out this 1000pts army fully painted and ready to do battle for the greater good by .
The Kroot, including the KrootOx and Kroothound where painted with a skin tone of Bubonic Brown, washed with Snakebite Leather, highlighted with Bubonic Brown and then a final highlight of Bleached Bone. The Dreadlocks were painted Chaos Black, drybrushed with Red Gore. Any Jewelry or metal objects was painted first Chaos Black and then drybrushed with Tin Bitz and then Dwarf Bronze.

Geek Girl Gallery – The glamorous face of Transformers fandom meet Screamers more than meets the eye
Screamers aka Rose is one of the leading sources of G1 Transformers fandom in the USA, her website Retroscreamers is packed full of toy information about the G1 Transformers line, and other retro toys. She is a major face in the Transformers community and even writes for the fan club magazine. She is also known for her amazing cosplay outfits like Soundwave, Wheeljack and the Baroness. I'm lucky enough to be good friends with her and work two photoshoots for her website, although I am yet to photograph her as the Baroness. You can check out these two shoots after the jump.
The first shoot was for the My Nerd Girl website when they were actively recruiting actually Nerd Girls, my charming and beautiful wife Jean was working for MNG too. This was really the first time we met Rose and before we became good friends. A lot of fun, and a lot of amazing toys in this house.
The second shoot was more recent and specifically a more glamour shoot than the last. We succeeded with some shots and failed with others. We do have another one planned and more outside locations to work with.

Fabula Zero – Exposition pencil roughs for pages 6-9 Attack of the Infeasible Large Mechaniod
Work on the Fabula Exposition book continues, today two things happened in its production; the final story page count was finalized and I received the roughs for pages 6 through 9 from my artist Bill Young.
The story page count stands at 42 (and yes I find the Hitchhiker Guide coincidence highly amusing), with 22 of the pages comic panels and the remaining prose story. I figure with the extras I will be adding the final full page count of this mashup of comic/prose story telling will stand around 48 pages. Making it a fairly decent size graphic novel.
The roughs I received are from the attack of Mechaniod section of the book. Which is also one of the more complicated sequences and a huge chase scene. I think Bill has captured some pretty good dynamic movement here, let me know what you think.
It is my hope in few days I will have the first set of pages laid out with dialog, and I will put them up as a preview so you can see what Fabula Exposition is really all about.

The funding for Fabula Zero Exposition continues and I've placed a new auction on EBay featuring Games Workshop miniatures I've collected and hand painted myself – you might of seen some of these miniatures in my on going miniature showcase. This time I have my 1000pts Tau Hunter Cadre army for Warhammer 40,000 (or WH40K) up on the block for you to bid on and battle with for the greater good. .
