'G' is for GSoul and Getting the Words!
I would never do it in a proper novella, novelette, or novel, but I am for sure going to dedicate this post to the music artist G. Soul - briefly known a few years ago as 'Golden'.
Thanks to his soulful and simplistic sounds, I've had several breakthroughs this morning when it comes to writing more stories!
Without giving too much away, I added a few thousands words to a sequel that I am working on for next year and also came up with an incredible challenge for a new(ish?) series.
Hoping to have both rough drafts done before taking a 24 to 48 hour break from them. After that, I'll complete the first round of self edits using my new CMoS book (because after all the mishaps I had with ADC, I REFUSE to send out anything that epically messy again).
In short, thank you G. Soul, for being my muse for today. Thanks to you, I have a new, clear, and 'sweet' wave of inspiration to light my way for more storytelling in 2022.

MAGIX is Ready for a Comeback!
While updating my WordPress with snippets of the latest installment of the MAGIX series, I remembered that the first book debuted just a little over TWO years ago!
Whoa.
The first year I spent thinking to myself, "Do I really want to keep going with this?"
Not like I had much of a say, since the main characters wouldn't leave my head, lol
Soon after that, more characters begin making their presence known. The second year was the pandemic, and with my dream job behind me in Korea, let's just say that I had plenty of time to write.
And write I did!
MAGIX: Melodic Whirlwinds dives much further into my fictitious take on the K-Pop industry, and I hope that you all enjoy it. Writing for the rest of the series seemed to fly by after this second book, and I cannot wait to share what is in store for Mika, Ae Rin, Geegi, Izzy, and Xiao Mei with the world.
So, don't be shy (shy, lol)! Let me know what your thoughts are on the story - now series.

The World could use some MAGIX.
And I intend to give it to them!
Well, my take on it anyway.
This story has been a work in progress for so long that I almost can not believe that the world will get to read it in three days' time.
But it is time, time to introduce you all to MAGIX.
These characters are different. The settings is one that was only accepted by a few, and they are ready to change that. With lots of passion, unbelievable story lines, and not one, but five major female leads - one would think that this story was a soap opera.
And they would be almost right.
MAGIX, a novelette, will be released on Tuesday, July 2nd, 2019.

Happy Indie Author Day!
For such an important day for writers like me, I almost missed it completely.
In the midst of working, writing, and juggling this new found adventure of mine, I did not know about indie author day until a fellow author posted about it on Facebook.
Which also explains why I do not have much planned in the way of celebrating either.
Though I do have 2 pretty cool things to share. One I have been working on for a few weeks now - my biweekly newsletter!

NaNoWriMo Affirmation
Yes, I am participating in NaNoWriMo this year!
This morning I received an email from them prompting me to create a 'Writing Affirmation' and I spent a few minutes thinking about what it is that I could say to myself when I feel a bit overwhelmed or incapable of completing my novel this November.
And then I remembered my outro of sorts for my YouTube channel.
That is how I found (or re-found) my affirmation for NaNoWriMo.
If I had to choose a symbol to remind me of this affirmation as well, it would definitely be a semicolon.
Because there have already been plenty of times when I have wanted to quit altogether, and I made the decision to continue this journey. It makes me happy, keeps me positive, and along the way I have met some truly amazing people.
So I will continue reading their amazing stories. I will continue to share my own stories too. And when the going gets tough - I will remember why I am still at it in the first place and continue to love the process.
