The Winner is...

So I recently celebrated a year since Orbital Kin was published with a competition to win a signed paperback copy over facebook and twitter. The four winners were-
Taliah from Manchester, Benji W down lower UK, Margo over in the U.S., and Literary Lethargy in Liverpool. Well done and thank you for your unique answers to who your favourite science fiction character was and why. Enjoy the book.

Motivation and inspiration...

I do connect up on a few other social media, but I feel it would be great to know more right here also about the work going on with similar authors/writers and what you might be working on at this point-are there some sudden great moves in your writing? Are you challenged by plot or character issues? Are there problems with publishing or industry for the fiction that you write currently?

It will be good to hear from you, thanks.

July 2014 as an author...

At this stage in the year right now, I have finished first draft of my new science fiction novel, and I am now working over very many notes and adding new writing into the next draft. There are now more characters, other characters are opening up now, the plot is widening and the story is developing well.
It is bigger in scope than Orbital Kin-more characters, story totally set in space this time, and different themes explored.

I may be involved in more book signings/events in the next few months, more info soon.

Eventually, I may write a few new short fiction stories before the end of the year as well. They always good ways to test new ideas and characters etc.

Author Writing Process Blog-Hop

Hello, this is the day I believe that my part of the Writing Process Blog-Hop tour should go up, after the invitation from goodreads author Shari Sakurai recently.
In the blog post I answer the short list of questions in relation to my own current new writing-my next science fiction novel due soon.

To see this post and many more, please visit my blog at wordpress.com- http://genrerama.wordpress.com/

The Blog-Hop will then continue on with other authors.

MilleniumView Convention 2014 Liverpool

On day two of this all new science fiction convention, I joined in with my own table and promoting Orbital Kin.
Greeted by Daleks and cybermen on the way to the main floor, I set up and began a day of talking sci-fi, books, comics and more.
I sold some, signed some, chatted with some nice great people who wandered through the convention.
There were many entertaining and fun cosplay stormtroopers, Jedi, Vader and droids and more going past all day, good vibes and interesting talking with many. Thanks to all who came along, and enjoy Orbital Kin.

The list of reading that just keeps on growing...

Right about now in 2014 at this stage some of the books and reading that I hope to get to in the next few months might include-
Some Joe Hill books,
More Heinlein science fiction, more K Dick SF,
Might try Ramsey Campbell again-short fiction,
The UK's own wild cyberpunk author and much more-Jeff Noon,
that recent Anne Rice Werewolf novel,
and probably a few more along the way.
This is all between writing new long and short fiction.

Thinking, writing, and reading books...plus life

So I am now quite a lot further into building up my personal author Goodreads page, sorry to all that it has taken so long. The different thing about thing hang out area to the other general social media places is that I expect there could be much more interesting discussion and talk between all of us hear about books and reading and writing of all kinds.
