This is a debut novel by Naira Khan. In her previous life she trained and worked as a psychologist in the school psychological services in Zimbabwe. This is where she lived until 2008, when she moved to the UK. Her interest in intimate violence grew from the number of cases of children experiencing difficulties in the classroom due to such home conditions. Thus began, what Naira describes as the most exciting part of her career, protecting the rights of women and children. This was an extraordinarily complex and emotive topic.
