Continuing A FAD of wasting congressional time, anti-equality lawmakers introduce FADA
No government agency has ever denied anything to anyone simply because that anyone believes marriage should exclude same-sex couples. Where people have occasionally (but very rarely) run into problems is when they've flouted nondiscrimination policies of a jurisdiction or institution, when they've served as political activists for anti-LGBT causes, or have in some way positioned their strong beliefs above an LGBT person's tangible rights and/or welfare.
What Sen. Mike Lee (R), Congressman R...

Report: Jeb Bush to again praise marriage inequality
According to the New York Times, which overhead Jeb Bush conducting an interview that will air tonight on Hannity, the GOP White House hopeful will yet again make his views on marriage discrimination quite clear:
Pressed on the same-sex marriage case before the Supreme Court, Mr. Bush said: “I believe in traditional marriage. I hope the Supreme Court rules that way.”
He added that the country should not discriminate against any American based on sexual orientation.

NOM actively working on its 2016 'Marriage Pledge'; sorry, Republicans who want to move on
If you head over to the NOM-owned MarriagePledge.com, you will see that the site is in development mode:
This means that NOM is hard at work preparing the 2016 version of its "Marriage Pledge," which you might remember from 2012 (when all but Ron Paul signed it).
What new and exciting things are in store for this year's version? Well, surely there will be lots of talk about the license-to-discriminate that NOM calls "religious freedom." And defiance; we mustn't forge...

And in other debate news, NOM just declared Rick Perry the 2012 GOP primary winner
Pro-equality rock stars Evan Wolfson and Kenji Yoshino recently debated National Organization For Marriage John Eastman and conservative activist Sherif Girgis. After that debate was held, 83% of the in-house audience sided with the pro-equality side, with only 14% going the other way. And in separate online voting, 75% sided with the pro-equality activists and only 25% sided with the pro-discrimination side:

Ubiquitous childhood company supports family equality
As a parent of a toddler who is well aware of the Fisher-Price catalog, this makes me happy:
Fisher-Price and Proud Parenting today announced the launch of the Proud Parenting LGBT Family Photo Gallery, presented by Fisher-Price. The goal of the program is to increase the visibility of LGBT parents and to encourage interaction and support between LGBT parents, their friends and their allies.

We've arrived: Same-sex love now as free to be in pointlessly salacious yogurt ads as its heterosexual counterpart
Chobani yogurt is so good it makes a lesbian want to rip the covers off of her partner. Or something:
Inclusion is now close to a given. Once we can consider an ad for its odd foot rubs and rude choices to subject a romantic partner to whatever drafts might be in the room rather than the mere fact that the starring couple is same-sex, we are somewhere near freedom.

Adoption process should be tough, reflective, focused; new Michigan law makes it crass, crude, discriminatory
When my husband and I chose adoption, we chose to put our relationship, commitment, abilities, and resources to the test in ways previously unmatched. All potential adoptive parents willingly submit their lives to every form of scrutiny imaginable. From deeply personal home studies to intrusive picking apart of financial statements to judges who must deem your family fit to parent, the process is a rigorous journey designed so qualified parents will rise up from the battery of tests that wou...

FRC longs for days when gay people were 'drummed out' of armed forces
FRC wants God to free our armed forces from gay soldiers. You know, just like he once freed others from the Nazis:
Now our leaders are intentionally depleting American military power, converting an institution intended to defend our nation by fighting and winning wars into a massive social experiment. Prompted by the Obama Administration, they are mainstreaming LGBT behavior and thus subjecting our young warriors to an epidemic of homosexual assault – all for the sake of an immoral and blin...
Selling selves as above law, radical anti-gay activists place ad in 'Washington Post'
The coalition behind this ad, led by fringe activist Rick Scarborough, claims that over 40,000 people have signed on to the call to flout a Supreme Court ruling in favor of fifty-state equality. Here's the ad they recently placed in WaPo:

Fortunately for them, their lives won't really be changed in any real way. And in fact, if they'd step away from the fallacious world of anti-gay activism, where non-events are turned into "CONTROVERSIES!!!," perfectly understandable...

Emailer suggests I deserve murder by 'radical Islamists'
According to Google, the person who sent me this, the suggestion that my murder would be a just punishment for my advocacy work, served as recently as 2012 on the Republican Executive Committee of her local community:
I actually think marriage equality, Don't Ask Don't Tell repeal, hate crimes legislation, and major shifts in popular opinion polling are much more fitting "reaps" for what my ten years of always-issues-based, never-character-assassinating, life-bettering work has "sewn." Bu...
