Photo: Teeny, tiny crowd rallies to overturn Fayetteville nondiscrimination ordinance
A very anti-LGBT group calling itself "Repeal 119" held a press conference and rally yesterday afternoon in hopes of drumming up support for their effort to repeal a nondiscrimination ordinance that recently passed in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Here's what that looked like:
But I'm sure somehow LGBT people are to blame for the low turnout, too. We somehow bullied people into staying home or something. Whatever; they'll just make it up anyway.
The other big story coming out of Fayettevi...

The worst #GivingTuesday campaign out there?
Today is Giving Tuesday. The day was created by two pro-LGBT organizations, 92nd Street Y and the United Nations Foundation, as a day to eschew holiday consumerism and instead place focus on social good.
Enter the National Organization For Marriage, which is instead using the day to foster its cherished (and sole) cause of discrimination against same-sex couples:

If #GivingTuesday were an office holiday party, then NOM just placed a turd in the punch bowl.
If you all want to start a #Judgem...
DC delivers blow to dangerous, widely discredited, deeply offensive junk science
Gay kids in our nation's capital are now a little bit safer:
BREAKING: DC Bans "Ex-Gay" Torture [J.M.G]
At one time they submerged women in water to test whether or not they were witches. History is littered with crazy hunts for non-afflictions; this is just another. We can and must do better.
Bravo, DC. Your turn, rest of nation.

Man who thinks gay people should be 'exported,' criminalized testifies to #FDA
Family Research Council Senior Fellow Peter Sprigg is best known for his admission that he'd "prefer to export homosexuals from the United States" and his insistence that "there is a place for criminal sanctions against homosexual behavior:

Yet for some reason, his movement keeps putting him up to testify at prominent hearings, like the one today to determine whether or not men who have sex with...
Wait, some of America's most anti-gay, over-the-top activists couldn't stop equality in Finland? Shocker.
MassResistance is one of the most hysterically anti-LGBT organizations working in the states. Scott Lively is internationally infamous for his work in Uganda and elsewhere.
For some reason these folks thought they had some capital in Finland:
[MassResistance]
They're at an interesting place on the other side. The truth is that those who speak the loudest (e.g. MassResistance, Lively, Peter LaBarbera, Bryan Fischer, et al) hurt their own movement the most. But at the same time, the more mainstrea...
You think your faith allows you to overreach. Period. Full stop. Own it, Russell Moore.
Without giving them too much of a pass for what they knowingly do and say to lessen our culture and its fabric of people, I will say that I believe many anti-gay evangelicals don't even realize how self-centered and exclusionary their worldviews can be. The teachings are often so ingrained that they really don't hear how their suggestions are rooted in a hierarchy that puts them at the top while leaving so many of the rest of us as societal bottom-feeders who can only hope for a few scraps dr...

Video: Harvard Law's Laurence Tribe 'wouldn't be shocked' by 6–3 SCOTUS decision
Anti-gay columnist: Straight porn, straight anal sex are 'homosexual acts'
A writer named Jason Salamone has written a column for Matt Barber's silly little Barbwire site. In it, he compares homosexuality to drug abuse, suggests gay people must enter into AA-like programs, and is generally rife with nuttiness, even by Barbwire standards.
But while the same old nonsense is not worth addressing, I do find the following two claims particularly novel. And in fact, I truly hope the anti-LGBT movement starts making them more often:
If a man has anal sex with a woman, he is...
Focus on the Family spent #BlackFriday devaluing gay lives
Here's the email blast (with fundraising button attached, natch) that the longtime anti-LGBT group sent out the day after Thanksgiving:
And of course the advertised resource guide gives "advice" that all culminates in a "don't be gay" message. After all these years and so many failures on that front, those who are determined to make our neighbors write us off as broken, immoral art projects in need of restoration are sticking with the deeply offensive and highly discredited idea that we should...
