I’ve been inundated with messages about my blurry post the other day… Mr. @mattfractionblog made a great comment about it being “Clint Barton’s most dubious costume decision”… I got a good laugh from it… but a lot of people took it a little more seriously and have been messaging me – constantly, wanting to know what the Hawkeye creative team at the time must have been thinking? when was this? where was this?

The grand finale of King Of Jazz (1930).
The long awaited restoration of this landmark film has just been completed. Not only did it involve the original camera negative, but there will be additional footage that hasn’t been seen since 1930!

As if that wasn’t thrill enough, a new book on the long and troubled production of King Of Jazz by James Layton and David Pierce is in the works, and you can contribute to its Kickstarter campaign right here!

I don’t think it should be; these things (the connection between art and artist, not “just” art or “artist”) are contextual, right? And context is a complexifying continuum. Uh… This maybe shouldn’t be articulated with my thumbs. It’s hard for me. It’s harder when the art elaborates and elevates the shitbaggedness of the artist. I can’t watch Woody Allen movies anymore. Young girls are to woody Allen films what feet are to Tarantino films. The latter is a fetishistic flourish, the former a cr...

CIVIL WAR tracking in the crucial 8-and-Under white male demo

HL: (sticks his head up out of the water)
HL: (gruff but endearing voice) I'm Nick Fury.
(beat)
And I'm very sad all of my friends are fighting.
HL: (submerges)
HL: (swims away)
