Ronald L. Rivest Ph.D. (Computer Science, Stanford University, 1974; B.A., Mathematics, Yale University, 1969) is an institute professor in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s (MIT) Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, and a leader of the Cryptography and Information Security research group within MIT’s Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory.
Rivest is a fellow of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and a member of the National Academy of Engineering and the National Academy of Sciences.
