The Sun Through You

All I want is to see the sun through you
like the night that divides me into two.

I’ll follow you through this town.
Give my life up to feelings that drown
me in the moonlight where I’m always found

between my lies. You fly away
on wings of light as bright as day
while in the night you’re all I see
as I sleep through life just like a dream.
You are the sun, you are the one.
Under this spell, your will is done.

Who could ever leave the sun through you?

Like the night that divides me into two,...

Of Nectar and Sweets

My finger bled on the rose bud
as it blossomed and bloomed.
I licked the taste of my own blood
off the flower and swooned
from the sweetness I savored
and the sight of it, too.
I grew drunk from this flavor
that I’ve passed on to you

with a kiss from my lips,
with the breath from my lungs,
with the beating of my heart,
with the blood that has run
from my fingers to your hands
where they’re grasping beneath
the rouge-colored petals
of nectar and sweets.

I pluck a bud from the rose bush,
pass t...

Fractals

Look through the world’s mirror –
There’s nothing that we ever view
outside the things we’ve always seen.
For, everything is just the same
as everything that’s ever been,
and everything is all that’s ever seen.

What I see is
everything I ever see
reflected through the mirror at me, and
what I see is
everything that you could be
reflected through this mirror I see here.

What you are is
everything that you could be,
but all of that is only me. And
what I am is
everything that I can be,
and all...

Little Things

And the little things
I never thought
could ever get away;

they have just run straight
from my mind again
no matter what I say.

Could
it
be?

I never thought that this could happen to me.
I never thought my mind could ever fade.

Now, I must begin another way of doing everything,
and now I must begin another way of seeing everything,
and now I must begin another way of hearing everything,
and now I must begin another way of feeling everything,
but I am too old to begin this life that I must lea...

Daynight

Color your love and gaze
silver to gold.
Moon set the sun ablaze;
daynight unfold.

Stars can’t shine through you,
burn the way you do.

Warm my hands for this…
Wrap your mind to this…
Shoot us through with a frozen light.

Filter through out of space
into my soul.
Empty eternal grace…
nothing is whole.

Stars shine out through you,
incinerating blue.

Warm my hands for this…
Wrap your mind to this…
Shoot us through with a frozen light.

Colors of love will take
time to expose.
Purple to silver bre...

Song for the Night

You’re gonna miss me when I’m gone.
So I’m leaving you this song
because our memories aren’t real.
They’re nothing solid to feel.

And all our lies and truths and joys and pains
will all seem beautiful once again.

You’re gonna wonder where I’ve gone,
crying to hope to come along.
But you can’t follow me here, my dear.
So when you close your eyes my words are near.

And though your world will forget about me
within this song I’ll still be seen.

You must forgive me;
I got carried away.
You must f...

The Kite

Don’t know how to keep you here:
strings and fingers disappear
in the sun where we’re one
as you fly up to the sky.

You taught me how to play,
how to laugh and how to say
that my fear disappeared
like a kite adrift at midnight.

And I did what you said to do,
tied a knot and away we flew.
And we never came down
to the shrieks from the ground.

Don’t know how to set you free
to fly away in a summer’s breeze…
Tied tight like some kites
to the ones we’ve become.

And I did what you said to do,
tied...

Shine Our Smiles Away

Sunlight, shine our smiles away.
Your beams light storms inside my soul
today.

But rain’s my role.
These clouds make you whole.

The lightning is this song I rain.
It hides the thunder in its call
again.

But light’s so small.
It’s darkness, that’s all.

Our storm will sweep up everything
that’s buried by my rain.

Why shine today?
Why shine today?

I see you in the warm ahead.
I see you in the warm ahead.
I feel you in the warm ahead…
