my book fair report...

Dear friends and readers,

a wonderful magazine for us, the older crowd (the baby-boomers if you will) SANTA FE MONTHLY printed a lovely story about my book fair adventure under the heading 'PEOPLE PASSION POSSIBILITIES' in the February Issue. The editor in chief wrote and I quote:
"Christine Mackenzie, the talented author and film maker, introduces her first sci-fi book at the noted Frankfurt Book fair to a challenging audience in an effort to get notoriety and financial acceptance. The venture is fraught with stumbling blocks and adulation." End Quote...

The journey of creating a book is as important as its conception and it's final goal of being published and available all over the globe.
I thank my readers from the bottom of my heart for their loyalty and hope to always present them with the best possible work I can create.
Christine

'TEXAS HOLD 'EM'

will eventually become a book as well, like many of my other stories. Right now it's a film script and I very much enjoyed the journey of creating the original story.
Angelica Huston's GREY ANGEL prod. in L.A. liked it enough to consider (like we did) Angelica as our director but she was hired for the 'SMASH' TV SERIES...

We have found an unbelievable talent now for this job.

I have no time to read books right even though I love reading so much...if I did have time to read however, I would be into Isaac Asimov, the Russian/American Author and his Sci-fi stories.
'THE EVOLUTION OF GOD' is interesting too, by my dear friend and neighbor Chris Griscom.

My book ' LISA BENNETT' (the English version) will be read at the wonderful Jean Cocteau theater, on stage, with signings after. A lovely marketing/sales opportunity indeed. Thanks John Bowman! Come one and all as we will have fun...

OH MY...

My dear friends and book fans,

I can't believe my wild dream about being fully present at THE WORLD's GREATEST BOOKFAIR is coming true now! I've booked my flight to Frankfurt. Steffi, my final editor, will pick me up and we'll have some fun before the hard work begins.

I'm going in my capacity as an accredited journalist, to write about this huge, mind-blowing event.
I'll mingle with 9000 colleagues from all corners of the globe. That'll be stimulus galore..

On the final day I'll get to read from a stage (excerpts of my Sci-Fi novel: 'LISABENNETT BESUCHT UTOPIA' to all of the young adults attending the fair that Sunday...then sign books, use the photo-opportunity and press-conference to announce THE MAKING OF 'TEXAS HOLD 'EM' which I also wrote.
This will be a total blast from Oct.9th. to 13th.
Thanks!
Signing off I leave you with:
KEEP READING AND BUYING BOOKS PLEASE,
much LOVE
Christine
