A Mini-Series?
Wow...
Dear fellow bookworms,
my friends (readers, critics & writers),
I am happy to report that my new literary agent Diane read my novel and flipped her lid (from all the excitement she felt after having finally finished it)...
She immediately asked: "would you be agreeable to write a series of this fascinating, amazingly colorful and fantastic story?"
I agreed in an instant and we had a great conversation!
The very next day, (this happened about 6 weeks ago), I went to work right away without hesitating! By now we are touching upon May and I wrote six hours a day and completed the job.
I wrote not only the pilot for this up and coming limited series ( most likely 8 stand-alone episodes, depends on what the prospective buyer/client wants ) an adaptation from my novel titled: 'HOOFBEAT - HEARTBEAT', it was a joy to work as a TV/cable/writer and I think she will start to offer it around soon...Wow, I'm humbled, feel honored and ready to tackle a new challenge, yeah...

Outskirts Press rocks!
Dear readers, writers, friends and followers,
happy to report that my literary agent is convinced that 'HOOFBEAT-HEARTBEAT fifteen hands above the ground' will make a 'kick-ass' mini-series.
Btw, my publisher is very supportive and if you need one, go check out their webpage. If you've read the novel, please give it a review on GOODREADS and AMAZON or at BARNES & NOBLE!
I'd be eternally grateful.
Lots of love
Christine

HOOFBEAT - HEARTBEAT fifteen hands above the ground'
The Novel finally hit the marketplace...
It's a completely revised (newly transcribed) , tighter and better version than number one. The first book was a limited edition in black and white. This revision sparkles with color and contains a most powerful visual on the inside... it is an unlimited second edition!
I wish to thank Miranda Prather, Ayna Romero and Dana Nelson for their patience and willing co-operation. We worked and worked until we finally got it right, as close to perfection as possible under the given circumstances.
My English is getting better all the time. Well, practice makes perfect, or so they say and I certainly work at it, by reading and or writing every single day of my life. I love playing with images and with words on paper.Hoofbeat Heartbeat: Fifteen Hands Above the Ground

'HOOFBEAT-HEARTBEAT'
My dear friends,
reviewers, bookworms (readers) editors and publishers...
It is done! The final, revised, unlimited version will come out shortly.
I went through it all at least ten times, proof-reading, checking and re-checking, correcting every misspelled word, every incorrect line, every heading and paragraph... and by golly, it was a tough job.
For me, at this moment, the hardest part of this epic saga (the rewrite with Miranda) is finished, thank god! I breathe a sigh of relief and yes, it was so worth it.
I want to treat my readers well and give them something that shows off my story-telling-ability to the very best of my knowledge. I always say: "I do not try to create a distinct style, or wish to show off in any way, shape or form, I'm just a story-teller." I'm still finding the continuing process of learning thoroughly fascinating.
There will be an e-book, ready to download and an audio excerpt...
Look for the book on AMAZON and here, on GOODREADS by early August.
I love you all...keep reading and evolving!

Deanarys Targaryan...
This is amazing...
I now have 88 friends on GOODREADS, ONE FOLLOWER and a 16 year old pen-pal from Bulgaria who hopes for a different outcome than me for 'GAME OF THRONES'...
She believes firmly that Aegon Targaryan will win the Throne with Tyrione as right 'hand of the king'.
Unlike her,
I predict that the 'mother of dragons', Deanarys Targaryan, will win the seven kingdoms back and reign uncontested over them, finally sitting where she truly belongs, on the throne forged of countless swords.
She not only has willing slaves at her disposal (since she freed them, they've become her most loyal subjects) but has tamed and now flies her three most powerful dragons...the strongest, most amazing creatures in that world. Whosoever manages to tame and fly dragons, has no longer any enemies!

Yes! This is an honor...
George RR Martin, who owns the JEAN COCTEAU Theater in Santa Fe, NM, will graciously allow me (after my appearance there, where I read an excerpt of my sic-fi novel to a live audience...) to leave several signed copies of my books on a shelf among his highly priced collection of world- famous fictional works, so that I may have an alternative outlet for getting 'LISA BENNETT VISITS UTOPIA' out to the public.
I thank him from the bottom of my heart, as this is an honor indeed, to even be mentioned in the same breath
with his venerable name, let along have the spine of my humble little book rub up against one of his big, fat
'ICE & FIRE' sagas!
The creator of 'GAME OF THRONES' is kindly acknowledging the creative community of Santa Fe, even giving out grants to aspiring fantasy writers, helping wolves, creating charitable and educational events within the community and I just adore the man! He got a deep-throated chuckle out of my appearance on stage as the mother of Deanarys Targaryan, who trained a rather difficult to tame three-headed dragon.

played a role at the JEAN COCTEAU
Hi everyone,
I've recently performed an original monologue in keeping with the theater's overriding 'GAME OF THRONES' theme and played the grandmother of dragons, the Khaleesie's mom who was hidden away, living savely inside the lair of the three-headed dragon, beneath the Isle of 'Dragonstone' in the narrow sea.
I chatted about how hard it was to train the three-headed fire-breathing monster, while every head insisted upon retaining it's own frame of mind. They never agreed on anything, it became a somewhat comic farce, soon to be seen at www.JULESWORKSFOLLIES Nr. 27 end of act one, on Youtube, filmed live at George RR's super-cool theater! The fun continues and I'll soon read aloud again to my friends and avid followers (some of my sic-fi musings) at Santa Fe's OP-CIT bookstore on Montezuma street on the 26th. of July,
at 3PM. Can't wait, report to follow after....
Best to you all

Oh my god what fun!!!
Dear Friends and Fellow Readers,
yesterday I read on stage from 'LISA BENNETT VISITS UTOPIA' and you could have heard a pin drop at the famous JEAN COCTEAU Theater in Santa Fe owned by George R.R.Martin who definitely revived this much beloved theater for our community. People actually gave me compliments after and shouted encouragement...
It was really cool to be a part of a working ensemble.
I read only 3 pages and was a part of a whole variety show. That was such a really neat vibe...
I was asked why I write? I answered, "because I love to play with words, always have and always will."
Amen
to all of you with loving thoughts I now sign off...

Still hungry...after all those years!
I still devour books. I must be a real live BOOKWORM!
As a writer myself, I love learning from other writers. It is an ongoing process.
I just love word-play and right now I've gone back to re-reading the great Russian Literary Giants. Fascinating stuff...
whether it's THE BROTHERS KARAMANZOV, THE IDIOT, or CRIME & PUNISHMENT by Fyodor Dostoyevsky, or Boris Pasternaks's DOCTOR ZHIVAGO, I loved ANNA KARENINA too, the list is long.
