Friday Five

1. Yes, it has been a while. Life keeps getting in the way. I really need more hours in a day.

2. I'm finished with Beyond the Fire. I need to edit it, on tap for next week, and get it submitted.

3. I have no idea what to write next. I've been contemplating a young adult novel...I have an idea about drag queens...and I have oh, three books that I really need to edit and find a home for. What to do, what to do.

4. Big Bang Theory makes me LAUGH. We watched the new one last night and I cracked up about Sheldon. Then the first episode of BBT aired on TBS. I'm really astounded at how the show has changed, the characters have gone through some changes, but it's still really funny.

5. I just read Eon and Eona, which were really good Young Adult books. Also read Slayers, also young adult, which made me long for the next one! Hmm writing about dragons and reading them. I'm also reading Stephen King's latest. The main character just went into Derry and met some characters from It. Loving it. I'm also rereading Dark Highlander. *sigh* I love Karen Marie Moning.

May the muses have more hours in a day. Or more coffee

Another dragon on the loose!

Alin can't believe he captured Geant. Even though he did it unfairly and feels badly about it, he feels his people need this leverage against Eastania. The grizzled captain of Eastania's dragon riders is just as fascinating in person as he was on parchment. Geant wants his freedom and if his captor would just come in chain's reach, he could get away. But Alin the captain of Wardona's dragon riders is a little too alluring and sexy, and too smart to take the risk.

When Alin finally does walk within Geant's chain's reach, many things could happen. But what does is nothing either man expected. Combustion. And not the kind that explodes dragon riders. Volatile chemistry of the sexual sort.

Then Geant's mate Elesia shows up, along with the Eastania delegation ready to negotiate freedom for Geant; she knows one thing instantly. Someone else has been taking her mate. What she discovers is an attraction and an interest in Alin as strong as Geant's own.

War threatens to keep them apart. Can they deny how they feel, or will the fire within consume them all?

To read an excerpt.
