Rapid City Stevens High School Raiders Going to State!
My youngest daughter is a varsity cheerleader for the Rapid City Stevens Raiders and the girls basketball team made it to the South Dakota AA state high school basket tournament! So the cheerleaders on their way to Brookings to cheer their team on. Good Luck Raider Girls!! Luckily SD PBS is broadcasting the tournament live so we can watch.
The pic below is of a combined routine between the Rapid City Stevens Raiders (wearing blue and pink for breast cancer awareness) and the Rapid City Central Cobblers cheerleaders. About half the time our kiddo is one of the ones flying in the air. Watching these kids tumble and move and jump–yes, cheerleading is a sport!

Whiskey Woman
So I got a bottle of whiskey from some fans (Thanks Kim R and Co in NYC!) and it's Evan Williams Reserve–with honey. Since I just finished DARK MERCY and I'm sort of in whiskey mode, it made me think of the scene in NO MERCY where Mercy walks into Clementine's the first time.
Excerpt from NO MERCY 2010~ Lori Armstrong
It made me laugh, those pretentious people who looked down at the Scots and the Irish and their homemade hooch. Now those same snobs consider themselves whiskey aficionados and search high and low for the "real thing. Spare me. Only two types of whiskey in my book: free and not free.

I'm thinking I need to hit the liquor store to see if I can find the cherry variety of this…just for comparison Got a favorite kind of whiskey?

No Snow – not that it matters
I won't be out enjoying the beautiful spring-like weather in South Dakota today, since I'll be chained to my damn desk. Note to self for 2012-BETTER BOOKKEEPING FOR TAX PURPOSES. Yes, I had to put that in all caps.
I could comfort myself with Oreos–since today is the 100th birthday of the Oreo. I wish I could ask my grandma, who lived to be 102, but passed on in August, when was the first time she had an Oreo…
I will comfort myself with listening to cheatin', drinkin', lyin' no-good-men songs by the Pistol Annies while I plug in my receipts from 2011.
