Welcome to the first EVER Crimson Romance Author’s Blog Hop. We hope you enjoy playing with us and make sure to comment with your EMAIL address to win amazing prizes at each stop as well as qualify to win our grand prize -
3 overall prizes of Amazon or B&N gift certs, $100 and 2 x $50. Leave a comment on this blog and the other CR Wonderland Hop blogs to be eligible to win
So, what’s a wonderland? For me, the term brings up my favorite quote when Alice is talking to the Caterpiller - If you don’t know where you’re going, it doesn’t much matter which way you go. (Paraphrasing here…)
For my four friends from Shawnee, Idaho, wonderland was anywhere but the little town where they grew up. I’ve been there, living in a small town with big city dreams. And for three of the four, they do escape, for a while. Then life brings them all back together for a rodeo weekend in The Bull Rider’s Brother. One, learns about life’s real lessons in her own story, The Bull Rider’s Manager.
Both books are a great escape from the day to day hassles of dishes piled in the sink or a boss who just doesn’t get you. I hope you give them a try. And come back for more when the bull rider gets his own book and stops being the supportive character in other’s lives.
Have you ever left a place just to leave? Did your high school dreams come to pass? Comment about your Alice moment – when you decided where to go – below and be entered to win a $5 Amazon card from A Fairy Tale Life.
And be sure to keep hopping ! (just click on hopping to go back to the Ladies in Red.)

Autumn’s Harvest – Blog Hop Here
I love the fall. I don’t know if its the gentle walks through leaf covered paths or the apple cider afterward that makes me nostalgic, but fall has always been my own personal season. And the fact my birthday comes in October makes it even more fun.
The seasons turn fast, especially my home state of Idaho. One day you’re splashing in the river, and the next, it’s time for picking pumpkins. In A Member of the Council, Parris McCall, knows she’s different. But when Ty Wallace starts throwing around words like witches, she feels like she’s fallen into a Halloween themed dream. For Parris, fall means the start of a new dart league.
Tell me your favorite activity of fall. Is it back to school? Or running through the corn maze? One commentor will win a $5 Amazon gift certificate. LEAVE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS IN THE COMMENT.
A Member of the Council – A rogue hunter, a clueless witch and a mission to save an unknowing world.
Parris McCall, owner of the dive bar, The Alibi, has finally constructed a life where her little quirks don’t show or matter to anyone. As for her grandmother’s warnings that she’s different, well, she’ll cross that bridge if she comes to it. But when Ty walks into her bar, both lives are instantly changed.
Ty Wallace loves his life. How could he not? He’s a powerful human lawyer by day and the Magic Council’s rogue witch hunter by night. But after he agrees to substitute on his secretary’s dart team, all hell breaks loose. Now Ty has to help Parris admit who she is before her long-lost relatives kill her.

Tag! You’re it….
Last week I was tagged by the fab Kristina Knight (What a Texas Girl Wants and The Saint’s Devilish Deal) who I met when we were the country girls for the Crimson Romance Launch in June. Now I have to answer Kristina’s questions about my next book…so, on with the Q&A!
What is the working title of your book? Dinner By Six
Where did the idea come from for the book? – I mashed up a catering idea with the small towns nestled in the mountains of Idaho that I love to write about. Dinner By Six happens in Mountain Springs, next to the more famous Sun Valley.
What genre does your book fall under? Cozy Mystery.
Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie rendition? Matthew McConaughey would be Trent Majors and Liv Tyler is Mia Malone. Definitely.
And now for the fun part: tag 5 authors whose work I love. Here goes:
Laura Bradford – My writing partner – and friend – Her Amish mysteries (Hearse and Buggy) are fun and her romances (Storybook Dad) keep you coming back for more.
Inez Saint – Strangers in the Night – I love this romance of opposites.
Micah Persell – Of Eternal Life – I read this on a road trip and couldn’t tear myself away, even when we’d arrived.
Molly Kate Gray – Small Town Secrets – Loved this small town couple trying to fall in love.
Alicia Dean – Soul Seducer – Grim reapers fighting over you? What more could a girl want?
And, if you were tagged, grab the questions above – or create your own! – and tag five authors you love…let’s keep it going.

Winner’s from The Alpha Male Blog hop…
The winner of a $5 Amazon gift certificate was chosen by using a random number generator to pick our lucky number.
Our winner said this about Alpha Males – “Alpha males are the best….strong, independent, fiercely protective, but on the inside they are nothing but a big ol’ teddy bear! I love the way their mouths talk filthy, but their eyes portray their sensitive sweet. They can be rough and tough in the bedroom, but still have the gentle caress of an attentive and protective lover. It’s all in the heart…..alpha males are the best!”
And the winner? Molly! (Molly, I’ll be contacting you by email to verify your address to send the certificate.)
Carrie Ann has posted the grand prize blog hop winners here.
Thanks everyone for coming by and commenting. I hope you all had as much fun hopping as I did reading your comments and adding to my TBR pile (Including Outlander – Ms. Sharpe.)

Good news day.
Cover reveal first – The Bull Rider’s Manager has a cover. Pretty huh? I love it! Look for the follow up story to The Bull Rider’s Brother releasing on November 19, 2012 http://www.crimsonromance.com/upcoming-releases-romance-ebook/the-bull-riders-manager/
And – Tuesday 10/23- The Power of Positive – A Chicken Soup anthology releases with my essay, What’s the worse that can happen? I told the story of my first visit to my oncologist, and the bad news he tried to give me.
Finally, A Member of The Council has arrived on my publisher’s website as well as on BookStrand. And when I got my google alert, not only did I get the ten segments with news about city council members nationwide, I got the first real sighting for A Member of The Council. On Lyrical’s website, there’s a short excerpt to read. Here’s the link - http://www.lyricalpress.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=3_31&products_id=567
I love being an author.
Announcements on the grand prize winners from the Alpha Hero Blog hop and my site winner of the $5 gift certificate from Amazon will be posted by Wednesday.

Alpha males – Oh, My…
Welcome to The Alpha Male Blog Hop…
Growing up in rural Idaho, I have a lot of memories of strong male role models. I’m drawn to the strength and power such men exude, no matter if their traditional work garb is a Brooks Brother’s suit, or Wranglers and Justin boots. So it’s no surprise that the Alpha Heroes I write about are witch hunting lawyers and bull riding cowboys. Men who work hard and like to play too.
James Sullivan (the hero in THE BULL RIDER’S BROTHER) skirts both worlds. As the manager for his brother’s bull riding career, he owns his share of suits for the sponsor meetings but prefers wearing cowboy casual to portray the rodeo image. He’s loyal and family focused to a fault and it takes a strong woman to help him redefine his definition of family.
Ty Wallace (hero in A MEMBER OF THE COUNCIL) is on the complete other side of the spectrum. In his human life, he’s a successful corporate trial lawyer, wearing suits that cost more than most cars I’ve bought in my lifetime. But in his real vocation, he’s The Council’s best rogue witch hunter. Even in jeans and more casual clothes, Ty gives off an air of the hunter, always on edge and alert.
Your turn, give me your favorite example of an Alpha Hero, real or imagined. Leave your email in the comment and I’ll draw one winner from the comments to receive a $5 Amazon gift card.
And don’t forget to keep hopping!http://carrieannbloghops.blogspot.com/p/the-alpha-male.html
