Josh Lanyon’s Adrien English Mystery Series

~Penny’s Series Rating: A~

SO this wasn’t a review I planned on doing, but I ended up enjoying this series so much that I wanted to give it a shout out. I am in love with this series. I’ll be honest, I don’t love every mystery I pick up. But this is mystery with a side of exquisite, yell out loud at the fictional character’s you are reading about, angst. I will admit, I read all fivebooks in three days. I barely slept because I couldn’t go to bed until I knew what happened, and I was us...

Lonely Hearts Blog Tour and Rafflecoptor Giveaway

~Penny’s Rating: A~

After reading Lonely Hearts, I have come to the following conclusions:

1. This series rocks.

2. I now want to own a Tesla.

3. I want to relive my college years at St. Timothy, and sing my aca-scuse me ass off. (I may be combining this with a Pitch Perfect fantasy…)

4. I have a renewed obsession with all things Studio Ghibli, especially Howl’s Moving Castle.

I am so glad that Baz and Elijah got their story! If you haven’t read the Love Lessons series, I really do recom...

GUEST POST: LM Somerton Talks About Testing Lysander

LMSomerton_TestingLysander_BlogTour_WebBanner-750_final

I’m so thrilled to be hosting LM Somerton! Testing Lysander is one steamy book! Thanks LM! -Penny

LM Somerton:In planning Testing Lysander I intended to come up with a thriller with a thread of romance rather than a romance with a thread of adventure. You’ll have to come up with your own opinion as to whether I succeeded, but it did make me think about what exactly makes a good thriller. Now I realized that everyone’s going to have a different opinion on this, but for me, a good thriller...

Carry The Ocean Blog Tour

~Penny’s Rating: A~

I completely adored this book. Wow. Really wow. It’s well done and gushy and romantic and real. This book surprised me. Okay, for regular readers of this blog, it’s no secret that I am a huge Heidi Cullinan fangirl. I am, and I totally admit it. I love her adult fiction, but I’ve viewed her ventures into new adult with a bit of trepidation, because as a reader, I no longer knew what I was going to get. They’ve been great though. I should not have been worried at all...

Erik Clarke blog tour for Wonder

ErikClarke_Wonder_BlogTour_WebBanner_final

Rewriting the Paranormal Rules – a Message from Wonder Author Erik Clarke

As a fan of paranormal shows and stories, I’ve been all but raised on the mythos of supernatural creatures. Vampires fry in the sun, werewolves can’t survive silver, and all the others. I’d never really planned on writing a paranormal story, so up until the moment that I sat down and went to actually put fingers to the keyboard, I hadn’t really considered what parts of each type of supernatural I would want to hold true....

Fever Pitch by Heidi Cullinan: Review, Excerpt, and Giveaway!!!

FeverPitch~Penny’s Rating: A~

So. Many. Feels.

Yes, this is a love story – and the romance side of Heidi Cullinan’s latest “new adult” novel Fever Pitchis awesome, and adorable. It’s even angsty and intense. We get to see Walter and Kelly again, and think about the songs in Frozen, and there are a Capella singing groups up the wazoo! More than all of that, this book is about doing what you love. Do what you love. It’s never that simple or easy is it? But there is hope, and this book reminded me of what I...

Unjustified Claims: Hidden Wolves Book 3 by Kaje Harper

Penny’s Rating: B+ ~Kaje Harper is an author I have been meaning to post about for a while now, because I really enjoy her work. The first two books in the Hidden Wolves series, Unacceptable Risk, and Unexpected Demands are fantastic, and if you have not read them, I highly recommend that you do so before tackling Unjustified Claims. There are also a couple of freeshort storiesin the series as well. You can check out Harper’scomplete body of work here.

Unjustified ClaimsSo why Hidden Wolves? First of all, the s...
