Spring has Sprung
Happy spring, everyone! Look for new poems of mine in these handsome journals: Under the Radar, issue 16, February 2016 (available through Nine Arches Press) and Pittsburgh Poetry Review, issue 2.
The poem in Under the Radar is inspired by letters from readers, printed in a 19th century publication for girls, and this poem is from the upcoming book. Pittsburgh Poetry Review picked another poem from the book, about dinner party etiquette for the nuclear age, plus a poem from a new project I’m working on — a series of comic book themed poems.
The Knowledge Weapon is taking shape nicely, and I’m excited to get my hands on an actual, physical copy before too long. While the dates are not confirmed yet, there will be a launch event for The Knowledge Weapon and two poetry pamphlets at the end of July, in London, and I’m hoping to do a few other readings in the week leading up to that. Suggestions and invitations are of course very welcome!
Watch this space for more info on these events. I’ll make sure to keep y’all posted.

Brace for Impact: The Knowledge Weapon Is coming!
It’s official — Andrew McMillan picked The Knowledge Weapon as the winner for this year’s Bare Fiction Debut Poetry Collection Competition. It still doesn’t feel quite real, but I am absolutely thrilled.
You can read his comments about The Knowledge Weapon and the manuscripts by the two runners-up, Joanna Duffy and Peter Wallis (both of whom will be published pamphlet-length) right here: http://www.barefictionmagazine.co.uk/2015/11/winners-announced-for-the-bare-fiction-debut-poetry-collection-competition/

(Tiny) New Poem
The Journal of Compressed Creative Arts just published a new (and genuinely tiny) poem of mine. You can read it here: http://matterpress.com/journal/2015/10/26/egg/
I also went to the Free Verse Poetry Book Fair in London last month to stock up on poetry books, find out more about UK poetry presses and journals, and have my obligatory cod roe, mushy peas and chips. You can read about the books I picked up on my other blog.
Just as I was leaving for the airport, I got my copy of Paper & Ink Zine #6 in the mail — great timing because it made for perfect in-flight reading! Abbie Foxton posted a nice review of this issue on her blog.

New Poems
Miracle Monocle have two new poems of mine up for your enjoyment: http://www.miraclemonocle.com/issue_seven/boehm_two_poems.html
The first one is from a longer erasure project I’m still working on, the second one is from the Knowledge Weapon manuscript and plays with language from the instructional VHS that came with the 1982 Commodore computer.

Free Range Finalist
Quick update:
My manuscript made it to the final round, again; this time for the 2015 Field Poetry Prize (Oberlin College Press).
In the meantime, I’m still job-hunting, sending out submissions, and, of course, writing.
