C.K. Garner collects books and dust, is owned by two cats, and writes to unbury her keyboard from under the fur. She will always mourn the loss of Bette Davis, Ray Bradbury, Blake Snyder, and the removal of Firefly from Fox. She is writing a YA fantasy series, and editing the sequel to her steampunk novella “Stealing Time“ available as an e-book from Musa Publishing and Amazon.

On November 14, 2012 I had the great honor to participate as guest author for The Final Frontier Sans Polyester Book Club! This was my first ever signing for Stealing Time, my e-Book short story, and I was blown away by the experience! I’m such a lucky writer to have met these fifteen delightful ladies–all home s...

“If you want to write, if you want to create, you must be the most sublime fool that God ever turned out and sent rambling. You must write every single day of your life. You must read dreadful dumb books and glorious books, and let them wrestle in beautiful fights inside your head, vulgar one moment, brilliant the next. You must lurk in libraries and climb the stacks like ladders to sniff books like perfumes and wear books like hats upon your crazy heads. I wish you a wrestling match with your Creative Muse that will last a lifetime. I wish craziness and foolishness and madness upon you. May you live with hysteria, and out of it make fine stories — science fiction or otherwise. Which finally means, may you be in love every day for the next 20,000 days. And out of that love, remake a world.”
Ray Bradbury

“When I was a little girl I used to read fairy tales. In fairy tales you meet Prince Charming and he's everything you ever wanted. In fairy tales the bad guy is very easy to spot. The bad guy is always wearing a black cape so you always know who he is. Then you grow up and you realize that Prince Charming is not as easy to find as you thought. You realize the bad guy is not wearing a black cape and he's not easy to spot; he's really funny, and he makes you laugh, and he has perfect hair.”
Taylor Swift

“From even the greatest of horrors irony is seldom absent.”
