On the seventh day of Banned Books Week, the Head Rodent was going to rest. But then we had a "staff meeting" a couple of hours before dawn and, while we let the sugar cubes melt in our mouths so we'd be peaking by sunrise, decided to make one more valiant attempt to foist unknown books on passing pedestrians as they scurry by, glancing furtively at our furry faces...

The fact is, this week, even with daily giveaways galore, the press barely blipped. Exactly one e-book was given away, and... (Drumroll, please!) Exactly no paper copies of A Modest Collection of Slightly Shocking Fairy Tales were claimed. Really? That's been the best-selling SROP book of all time! On paper! (With autographs!) But I gues the reach of this blog is such that not enough potential readers were infected. Therefore... The Head Rodent has authorized an extension of the giveaway until both copies of the aforementioned book have been placed in appropriate homes. (And after that happens, I'll come back to edit this and let you know they're gone, so... if you're still reading that and it's not struck out like this, then they're still up for grabs.)
