January
In with the new year, out with the old.
The days are longer but it's still cold.

Limericks in the time of corona
There once was a virus, corona,
That ravaged Savona and Pamplona,
'Til I don't know who
Said that what we should do
Is sing. Then we're never alone-a.
Italian version, not a thing in Italian, might be first Italian limerick:
C'era un virus di nome corona,
Che nocque a Pamplona e a Savona.
Ma poi qualcuno
Disse: nessuno
E' solo se canta al balcone.

You're too good
I went to write a list for you
Of your good qualities, in rhyme.
Turns out it's just too long to do,
I didn't have the time.

I didn't have the time.

No New Year's Resolution
I do not target any number
For how many books to read.
I read because it's fun for me,
I do not read for speed.

Dandeliony
Beware the dandelion, son,
the blooms that burst, the seeds that spread.
But, mom, I love the yellow one,
the bursts so bright, the fuzzy heads.

Knitting rhyme
I knit myself sweaters
When my knitting was better.
Now I can't bother,
I knit scarves for others.

I knit scarves for others.
