Know Not Why Price Change On The Way!
Hello all! After what was supposed to be a month-long sale that somehow turned into a year-and-a-half long sale (oops), I am going to be raising the price of Know Not Why a dollar to $2.99. Life stuff is happening -- which, ain't that always the way? Oh life! -- and that little bit of extra income will be extremely helpful right now, especially due to way the royalties policy functions on Amazon. (Self-publishing authors receive 35% of the royalties for a book priced under $2.99, and 70% of the royalties for a book priced $2.99 or above.)
I just wanted to give a heads up so that if anyone's been planning to purchase it at the $1.99 price, you'll have some time do so. The price change should go into effect within the next week.
Here is a nifty link to Amazon's Know Not Why page.
Thank you all for your readership and support; I value it beyond words. Best wishes to everyone, and I hope you're having a wonderful fall so far!
I will hopefully have a little Halloween tale (not Know Not Why-related, but similarly silly and fluffy, just with more ghosts and vampires and Halloweeny fiends and diabolical scheming and accidental falling in love) showing up for you sometime next month. :)

Happy Krafty Halloween! Be on the lookout ...
Hello, neglected blog! I am just dropping in to say that for the past few days, I've been feverishly scribbling a new tale starring the Know Not Why characters. I originally planned to release it on Halloween, but it's blossomed into more of a novella than a short story (60 pages and counting!), and I'm going to need a bit more time to finish writing and polishing it up.
So there should be a very silly -- and fashionably late -- Halloween-themed Know Not Why novella headed your way within the first week or two of November! Expect lots of banter and shenanigans, as well as some glimpses into the heads of characters who are not Howie. (Twist!)
To read a sneak peek scene from the story, go to the blog entry here!
If you would like to visit the GoodReads page for the novella, click here !

Of witch queens and princesses, Jane Eyre gettin' her YouTube on, and glorious Robin Hood romps.
A new blog post (Gasp! Shock! Can it be!!! … I am a super lazy blogger, friends), in which I talk my own current novel-writing project, my web series true love The Autobiography of Jane Eyre, and the awesome new Robin Hood-inspired Sherwood Forest series.

Writing talk!
I have officially passed my master's thesis defense, hooray! Now that my grad school career is winding down, I'm finally able to devote some substantial time to writing again, and I would also like to give some of this newfound writing time to more frequent blogging! So I figure I will do a series of posts discussing the various writing projects that I've been working on; I am dying to release something new this summer, but I'm currently caught between a handful of beloved (and, okay, horrendously neglected) projects and am not sure which to finish first.
Over the past few days, I've found my attention re-snagged by a novella I wrote last summer by the name of Damsel. It is basically an emotionally fraught fairytaley Gothic romp about a highborn young woman named Evelina who gets imprisoned in a spooky manor house as bait to lure her true love (well, "true love") to come rescue her and MEET HIS CERTAIN DOOM at the hands of the villain. And then the villain's ward Tabitha gets appointed my heroine's impromptu handmaiden, and obviously, the sparks, they fly!

Where oh where is the next book?
About a month ago, I asked over on GoodReads if anyone would be interested about me blogging about anything in particular. Katyna asked, “When are you going to write another book?” – here is the answer!

Blogging! That's a thing, right?
Hello, all! I've noticed that Know Not Why seems to have been receiving some extra attention for the past month or so; I know not why (a ha ha! Pun?) that is, but it's awesome, and thanks to all y'all for your interest and readership. :)
And now on to a question! I'd like to start blogging more often -- writers are supposed to blog, right? -- but there are so many things that I'd like to talk about that I can never seem to settle on one topic!
So I'm wondering: are there any particular blog topics you'd like to see me cover? Maybe questions about Know Not Why or my writing in general or, I dunno, my opinion on whimsical socks? (I am pro-whimsical socks, all the way. My current socks have old timey bicycles all over them.)
