Two Free Short Stories
I love free things. Especially books.
I am happy to announce I have two short stories available for free download this week. TAKEN is the second story I published, and THE CONTINUANCE AGENCY is the latest, and is also the first part in a series I am embarking on.
And because I am feeling in the holiday spirit, I will give free copies of my debut story GONE to the first five (maybe more) people who graciously give me a review on either of these stories.
Thanks for reading everyone.

Rainy days are writing days
Good morning everyone. I hope today finds you all well and happy. As for me, well... let's just say things are going pretty great. I'm working hard to put the wraps on a new story entitled HOARDING HOUSE and having lots of fun with it. That is always a good sign, right?
Anyway, today my wife went to take a placement test because she's decided to reenter the education system in a bold move to find new direction for herself. I am tickled by this, even though I always love her just the way she is. We have a young daughter named Emily and my wife usually does the duties of drop off and pick up at the bus stop due to me having a full time job and never being here.
Because of the placement test, I needed to fill my wife's shoes and do Emmy duty, so I called in sick. And it's raining. Today is going to be a seriously productive day. I write best when it is pouring rain outside. Don't ask me why because I don't know. Maybe it's just the pounding of the water on the roof that drowns out all the distracting voices in my head allowing me to focus? Either way, I hope to have a large portion of my work finished today, and I hope my boss doesn't miss me too much.
Also... if you are looking for something by me that you haven't read, consider this.
http://www.amazon.com/Way-Out-Of-Here...
Just click that link there and you'll be on your way to a story I wrote recently that you may not have read.
This one has been published for a little while, but sadly has gone pretty much unnoticed. I have received some feedback that the original title it was published under, BELLY BUTTON WINDOW, along with the original cover art, may have been to blame. So, with the help of my brother, Evans (the one you all know and love by now), it is back from the dead. If anyone would like to read it for review, I would be happy to give you a copy for your input; just email me at light.adam@yahoo.com, or message me here on Goodreads.
That is all for now. I hope everyone has a great week!Way Out Of Here

It's been a little while
Hi everybody!
It's been more than a month since my last blog update. I've been busy working on a couple of projects, working my 9-5 and conducting family affairs. The FCAT just passed and we were in full swing for that. My 10 year old daughter is a little smarty and we're sure she aced it. She did so well last year, she won a limousine ride with a couple of her other intellectual friends. Very proud dad, here. Anyway, I am almost finished with the first draft of my newest story titled "Hoarding House," and hope to complete it by the end of the month. I will need to wheedle it down and have it edited after a few drafts, naturally. Right now, I have over 80 pages completed. My longest piece ever!
With all that said, I will leave you with a review of a simply killer book I recently enjoyed as a "buddy read," the first one of those I have participated in; I would like to say that was a lot of fun. The book is called "Seed."
Here you go.
A solid 5 star read.
I love cerebral horror stories. Seed definitely falls into this category.
It is the story of Jack Winter, husband, father and rocker. The Winter's are hanging on by a slender thread financially, their immediate goal is a modest one: buy a new car before their old Saturn gives up the ghost and leaves them stranded.
Shortly into the story, things go from bad to worse when a freakish car accident sends the car to an early grave and the cause of the accident forces Jack to face a past he had all but forgotten.
As it goes on, Ahlborn deftly weaves both stories together, pulling the reader at break-neck speed to an inevitable conclusion.
There are some seriously dark and disturbing themes explored here, certainly not for the weak stomachs among us. I had a lot of fun reading this, and Ahlborn's novel The Neighbors just got bumped up on my TBR list.
Strongly recommended!
