Good Morning Monday! It’s finally February!

I don’t know about anyone else but for me, January was three years long. LOL Like holy hell, did it draaaaaag!! But February is finally here and I feel like 2019 can finally start. I know that makes no sense but it’s weird how our brains work. LOL
And February is going to be crazy-busy! I leave in three weeks to have 10 days travelling with some friends from the US and will be flying from home to Sydney, to Melbourne, to Brisbane, doing lots of sight-seeing, and two book signings! It’ll be fun, but busy as hell, and tiring. But I can’t wait!! I’ll try and post some pics. They’ll mostly be on my Instagram page but I will post some here as well!

I’m excited to start doing more Australian signings! I don’t know what to expect to be honest, but I’m certain it will be all kinds of fun!
My kids went back to school at the end of last week, and OMG the silence in my house on Friday was heavenly. It’s hard to explain, but as an introvert, I really do NEED silence and space and me-time. So while having the kids home is great, six weeks of it for school holidays grinds me down.
But life returns to normal this week! Thank GAWD! And along with that normality, is hectic schedules of school, sport, after-school work, extra study classes for my daughter (she’s going into Year 11 this year, so the workload cranks up a notch). But keeping busy is a good thing, right?
(disclaimer: I may need reminding of this in about July/August when I’m completely frazzled LOL)
Oh, and I’m also having a built-in bookcase added to my office!! I’m very excited about this! It should be installed two weeks from now and I will most definitely be doing some before/after photos but it’s going to look a little bit like this!

I’m sooooo excited!!!! It’s costing me a not-so small fortune but it will make my office space so much more functional and prettier! Stay tuned for pics!!
Oh, and next week I might show off my cover for my next release. Upside Down will be released sometime late March (depending a lot of factors) but I’m hoping it will be late March and will do my best to make it happen! I don’t have the tweaked blurb yet and I probably should wait until I can post both together, but I get too excited and impatient for covers!

My WIP is at 7K words. Still only early days, but with my kids and school starting, last week was slow on the writing front. But this coming week should be productive! Except I have another dentist appointment tomorrow which is going to suck. But these things are unavoidable, I guess.
Oh!!! And my new website should be up and running this week or next! I’m really excited to show it off!

Good Morning Monday ~ Cronin’s Key IV Release Day!!!!

Yay for release days!!! They’re both exhilarating and horrifying, nerve-wracking and awesome all rolled into one! But there’s also a huge amount of relief that comes with every release day. Think of it as making a kite… you spend months building it, honing it, refining it, only to launch it into the air to see if it flies.
That’s what releasing a book is like. Especially the fourth book in a series that my poor readers have waited an eternity for. LOL See the thing is, Cronin’s Key ended at three books. Alec and Cronin stopped talking to me and all went quiet in the Cronin world… until Stas and Kennard finally came up for air LOL.
So, what you need to know about Cronin’s Key IV – Kennard’s Story…
It is not a standalone. If you haven’t read the first three books, book four won’t make a great deal of sense.
It will be in Kindle Unlimited for the first three months.
It is 36.6k words – approx half that of the other books.
Like all the Cronin books, it’s a crazy ride from start to finish. Actually, it’s probably crazier than the others. LOL
Kennard and Stas are just the cutest couple ever!

In other news, Upside Down is in the very capable hands of my editor. It ended up being 66K words and my beta-readers loved it! Which is always such a relief!
I love these characters and their story so much! It’s very close to my heart and I can’t wait to share it with the world!
In WIP news… I have started my next book! OMG I know, right? No rest for the wicked. LOL I’d spent the week doing research and adding bits and pieces of info to my doc with links and some plot points etc, only to have Word and Mac both decide to make me cry and wipe the doc clean…
Yes, I have back-up procedures in place. No, they didn’t work. I did manage to salvage some of it which is better than nothing. But onwards and upwards, and I shall trudge on. LOL I have a working title but I don’t want to jinx anything but I can say that it will be angsty and it’s a friends to lovers story. I’m getting Sam and Iz vibes from Switched with this one, and I’m thinking it will be around 60K but I usually do go over my original estimates

NEW COVER REVEAL FOR SIXTY FIVE HOURS!!
I am so excited to share this…
I’ve shared this in my Facebook groups already, but now for you guys…
As you may know, I’ve had to remove all my paperbacks from Createspace and move them to IngramSpark (because Amazon is a mofo) but the cover I had done for Sixty Five Hours (in 2015) wouldn’t comply because Ingram is a lot harder to please lol.
Sooooo, I had to have the cover redone. This book has had its fair share of covers since 2011 (not all of them great) and I wanted to give Cameron and Luc the cover they deserve. And who else better to make a forever-cover than that amazing Reese Dante 
And it’s absolutely perfect!!
Things to know:
There is NO new content (from the 2015 version) The ebook will stay FREE – new cover to be uploaded at all sites asap! Paperbacks will be available soon! And they are priced as low as I can possibly make them I have two signings coming up and if you’ve pre-ordered the Sixty Five Hours paperback, it will be the NEW cover – unless you tell me you want the old one. I’m so in love with this, you have no idea omg. I will post the wrap cover in the comments because it’s SO freaking awesome!

Other news…
My WIP is now complete. Upside Down is now 66K words and I’ll be sending it out to beta readers this week! Eeeeek!!
What’s next is undecided… whether it’s the angsty addiction characters, or the angel/devil comedy, I can’t decide. They’re still competing for centre stage in my head. It will more than likely be the angsty one…
My 2019 schedule (subject to change) now looks like this:

Late March – Upside Down

Late June – Angel/devil story
Late August – beginning of a cop/cold case trilogy to be released up until Christmas or something like that, idk.

Good Morning Monday ~ What a week it’s been!

It’s been crazy busy but a very productive week, and I get extra points for getting shit done with my kids at home all day every day (it’s still school holidays here). I usually need silence to write and the squawk of “muuuuuuuuuum” every time they want something is like a record scratch. LOL But I’ve written 12K words and my WIP is almost done. I have maybe 8k to go – maybe less.
I also have a confirmed title!! Go me! LOL *drum roll* It’s called “Upside Down” and it’s fun and playful, there is much banter and awkward ramblings. The two main characters, Jordan and Hennessy, are perfect for each other but Jordan needs his world turned upside down first. Or does Hennessy turn it the right way up? You’ll have to wait to find out!! Release date should be late March!
My next characters are talking to me already which is usually the sign of a few things:
That my current story is wrapping up
That my current story is a stand alone book/no sequel
That my brain is a jumbled mess of voices and because I don’t plan or outline anything, I’m trying to keep imaginary conversations in my head in some kind of order
All I know is that my next story will be dark. A far leap from the fun of my current WIP. I also have some whisperings from some characters that I was going to write years ago but they went quiet on me. I figured they decided not to have a story but I’m pretty sure they just weren’t ready. The story they’re now forming isn’t the quite same as it was years ago, so it just goes to show that it pays to listen to them. They know what they’re doing, and I’m just the poor typist LOL
I’m also having the cover of Sixty Five Hours redone. I can’t remember if I told you guys this before… The old cover can’t comply with the specs of IngramSpark (who produce my paperbacks) so it’s getting its forever-cover from the AMAZING Reese Dante and it’s going to be AWESOME!! When it is uploaded, it will be a new cover and nothing else will change. There will be no new added content or changes to the story.
I’m getting everything ready for my two book signings in Feb-March. They’re back to back weekends, and I won’t be home in the week in between. I have to get it all sorted for both signings before leaving. Plus I’m having visitors from the US for this time so after the Sydney signing, we’re heading to Melbourne for three days of sightseeing and whatnot, then we’re flying to Brisbane. It’ll be crazy busy but I’m so excited!!!
And it’s just two weeks (and one day) until Kennard’s Story is out!!! I can’t wait for you guys to read this!! It’s 35K words – so much shorter than the other three books in the series – but it’s action packed and some huge secrets about Kennard are revealed!

Good Morning Monday ~ A Soldier’s Wish Release Day!

If you can believe it, it’s December! And it’s RELEASE DAY of A Soldier’s Wish!
It’s my first Christmas book involving new characters, and I adored writing their story. At first I worried it wasn’t Christmassy enough – that I might have concentrated too much on the horrors of war and living with PTSD and injury. I’m not a huge fan of Christmas so finding that festive spirit can be a challenge for me. I worried that it wasn’t like those Hallmark Christmas movies everyone loves, and it was a little more Die Hard. LOL And we all know writers are drowning in doubt and insecurities about their writing, as I most definitely with this one, but I was assured to keep going, to give these two boys their story and their HEA they deserve, and I’m super glad I did. Richard and Gary definitely deserved their HEA and I’m proud of this book.

A Soldier’s Wish is Book 5 in this anthology/series. BUT they can all be read out of order, and each book is a stand alone. The only thing they have in common is they each come into contact with a special Christmas ornament that has been passed down/lost/found throughout different years and times in history.

In other news, I got through my first read-through revisions of Kennard’s Story, and it’s now with some beta readers. It’s 35K words of utter craziness but like all the Cronin stories, it’s a helluva lot of fun!
And I started a new story!! These boys have been waiting very patiently and I’m excited to write this book for quite some time, and it’s weird because while they’ve been in my head, in the background, slowly filling in their backstory and a few notes on the story I’m supposed to write, I never really *know* them until I start to write. And as it turns out, one of the MC’s is funny. Like how Henry was funny. I’m not saying he’ll be the same as Henry, but he’s adorable already and I’ve snort-laughed a few times in the first chapter. Still early days and it’s untitled at this point and, all things going well, I’ll be aiming for a March release.
Speaking of releases, I’ll be working on my 2019 schedule this week and will post it here asap.
And this week, I’ll be starting some pretty cool giveaways in my Readers’ Group on Facebook. In the lead up to Christmas, I want to give some shit away LOL so join in!
