1K a Day Motivational – The Sprint

It’s also November, which means it’s NaNoWriMo! I’m not participating in the 50K words in a single month, but I’m most certainly feeding off the energy that’s present in my writing community while so many others...

Listen To My Story (Being Read By a Podcast)

Holy potatoes, you guys. Happy Halloween!

I have a special announcement that has everything to do with today.

Do you know Blurry Photos? They’re a couple dudesthat run my favorite podcast about ghosts, devils, witches, aliens, ancient histories, unsolved mysteries, supernatural chicanery, cryptids, conspiracies, fantastical science. They’re a couple of improv actors from Chicago and they keep the funny rolling while they delve into the weird.

In short, they’re pretty much exactly my kind of po...

1K a Day Motivational – “It Inspires Me” October Edition

It’s Thursday! And more than that, it’s the last Thursday of the month. It’s time to talk about a thing that I watched, read, played, experienced, listened to, whatever in this month, and which inspired the hell out of me to push my creative energies ever further!

I’ve talked aboutjust about every kind of entertainment at this point, but one that I haven’t tackled yet is music.

I’m pretty much always on the lookout for new jams. The soundtrack of my life is perhaps as eclectic as they come, w...

1K a Day Motivational – “But Nothing”

It became Thursday when I wasn’t looking, and I’m so confused that I will destroy it before I understand it. There is no room for change in my domain. Let it be Wednesday forever.

Or, fine, we can do the next Weekly Motivational.

I’ve talked a lot about a few dozen reasons or excuses that can crop up and prevent a person writing on a given day. I’ve talked about inspiration. I’ve made silly jokes and drawn wild correlations between things that I probably should not have.

So I’m going to go a...
