Where has all the time gone…
Good gracious! Where has all the time gone? I can’t believe it’s been so long since I last posted! *ducks head in shame*
The good news is I’ve been busy writing and enjoying the heck out of Academy of Assassins. I just left my characters trapped in a warehouse infested with gremlins. Very fun! Unfortunately, the book is taking longer than I expected. *sigh*
I’ve also been enjoying my summer. I live out in the country, so new critters visit us every day. (It also helps that the front yard...

Lookie….
I hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial weekend. It went waaaay too fast for me!
We had a whole list of projects lined up, but none of them got done. Instead, we decided to put new hardwood floors in our bedroom and hallway. I love the beautiful dark wood, but talk about a lot of work!
This is the second year that we’ve done ‘updates’ to the house on Memorial weekend. Next year, hubby swore that we’re going to Hawaii instead…no more construction. Deal! I win both ways. *big grin*
We a...

Turtle Brownies…
It’s been a dreary day today—well, a dreary week—full of rain and clouds. To cheer myself up, I purchased some yummy, delicious, gooey Turtle Brownies. Don’t they look awesome?!
Well, they taste even better!
I may or may not have posted a note on them : Poisonous! Do not touch!
Hubby, I know you’re reading this….you’ve been warned. ;-P

World War Three…
The battles between the two cats has settled down…some. Instead of all-out war, they engage in minor skirmishes. Charming, the intruder, buzzes our forty pound main coon, trying to get him to come out and play. Sam—a bigger, lazier cat you’ve never seen—tolerates the shaggy gray pest, but doesn’t engage. Poor baby. At least they no longer need to be separated!
Speaking of pests, Charming has become quiet the mouser. Last night, past midnight, the house erupted with noise. Hubby got up and a l...

April? Are you sure?
I woke up to this…
Yes, that’s snow. It wasn’t even 30 degrees this morning. I had frost on my windshield, but I refused to get out and scrap it off. I guess I asked for it, since I already put away my scraper. :-?
What the heck!? At least it’s not the measurable snow that my parents received. Oh, and even better news? We’re supposed to get even more snow to welcome the beginning of May. *oy vey*
Are you having any better luck with the weather? Oh, wait, maybe I don’t want to know. I’ll...

To do lists….
Are you a list person? The last month or so I’ve forgone my regular lists and couldn’t figure out why nothing was getting done—hence the lack of regular blog posts. I find if I don’t put what needs to be done on the list, they’re either forgotten…or it’s easy to say I’ll just do it tomorrow. Funny, but that same excuse pops up the next day and the next…well, you get the drift. I enjoy actually being able to cross things off my lists. It makes me feel like I’ve accomplished something.
