Tuesday Tales - Pretty

Hello! It`s time for Tuesday Tales.

Today we have the next issue in my historical M/M romance, Dear Jon, which is set in 1945. Every issue of this serial will be under 1500 words so they're quick reads.  Our word prompt today is 'Pretty'. This story contains mature language and gay sexual situations. If that offends now would be the time to move onto another Tuesday Tales offering.
Today's issue has an explicit gay sexual scene.

Abnormal. Deviant. Sinful. Aberrant.
That`s what people say about this feeling I have growing inside of me. Keeping my head down and my vision pinned to Ross, I wondered how those words could be applied to emotions as strong as these. I would have chosen different terms.
Wonderful. Exhilarating. Natural. Splendid.
The night had been exactly what Andrew and I had needed. We had arrived at the pretty little house tucked back among towering pines late. Andy had suffered a small meltdown and had gotten his first paddling from Uncle Jon. Andrew had kicked one of his geese in anger. I do not tolerate hateful words or actions against those weaker than us. His anger was justified. The stupid birds hadstolen the boy’s sandwich from his hand. I`m reasonably sure there was more to the outburst than a pilfered cheese sandwich, but it was the vicious way he also kicked my shin when I took him by the arm that got his backside tanned. I still felt terrible but the boy now knew where Uncle Jon`s line was. And dislike them as I do, the birds are simply stupid birds with brains the size of a chick pea. Pushing that unpleasantness aside I admired Ross coming towards me across the lawn.
We had left the radio on in the two-bedroom cedar shingle house. I was glad. Frank Sinatra was one of my favorite singers.
“Thank you,” I said, taking the steaming cup of coffee from Ross. He sat down beside me on the swing beside the pond. The frogs were an exuberant chorus. “Is he still sleeping?” I asked then blew over the delicious smelling brew.
“Out like a light,” Ross chuckled, his cup balanced on his right thigh. “It must have been all the sunfish he caught.” His left arm settled behind me on the back of the redwood swing.
“They were so heavy!” I said just as my nephew had a few hours ago. Looking out at the small pond surrounded by cattails I inhaled something that smelled like serenity. Ross laughed lightly then pushed the swing into motion with his feet. We rocked in companionable silence for a few moments, enjoying the company. “Ross, if they dig too deep . . .”
“Worry often gives a small thing a big shadow as my grandmother used to say.”
I turned my head to look at him. “Are you saying that the state poking around in my affairs is a small thing?” I asked tartly. Ross shook his head. Somewhere far away a barred owl called out for a mate. Hoo-hoo-hoo-hooooooo
“Of course not,” he rolled his head around casually and mirrored the frown that I was wearing. “I`m simply saying that if you act as if you have something to hide, then most people will think that you do. Relax. Have faith in the fact that you`re a good man with a good heart.”
“What if they say I`m not fit to raise him. If they discover I`m queer they`ll stuff him into the orphanage and-”
His hand tightened on the back of my neck. Ross pulled my mouth to his. I thought to draw back but the heat of his lips was too danged arousing. The smooch had been intended to quell the panicked state I had been slipping into. It worked. It slammed the worry into a wall, rendering it unconscious. That gave my libido all the room it needed to take center stage. I turned slightly. My free hand began rubbing Ross's thigh. His tongue slid between my lips. His kiss was tinted with rich cream and dark coffee beans. Tossing care to the wind, I grabbed his crotch. The man was thick and hard. A rumble rolled from deep within him.
If you had asked me where I thought I would be a year ago, the answer would not have been outside of Hannity Hills being seduced by my own daddy bear. Within moments, we both had each other in hand.
The kisses were growing in passion and aggression as we parried orally over who would be bottoming. I knew it would be me, but shit, shoving and pawing and trying to impose my will onto this sinfully arousing man was incredibly erotic. Ross finally had had enough. He pushed me away then slid from the swing to his knees. Panting like an overtaxed steam engine I let him remove my pants one trouser leg at a time. Andrew slept on inside the house; the soft strains of a love song hiding the groan of delight I made when Ross began to suckle me. My head lobbed backwards. The cool pond air on my exposed balls contrasted sharply with the wet heat of Ross's mouth.  It didn`t take him long to have me trembling on the cusp of my release.
That was when he stopped, the miserable tease. He pushed my shirt up to taste and nip at my stomach and chest. His teeth nibbled at my flat nipples. I kissed him hard. He returned the favor, flattening his mouth over mine.
“Over and on your knees,” Ross grunted into my neck then drew some tender flesh between his teeth. I winced as he marked me.
“Unless you have a stick of butter in your back pocket . . .”
“We'll manage,” he whispered then bit a tad harder. I shuddered with delight. This was a rough and tumble Papa Bear. My favorite kind.
A moment of trepidation flared up about Andrew as I was hoisted into the position Ross desired. I was so hard it hurt.
“What if . . . he wakes up?” I asked, spreading my knees on the dewy grass as I grabbed hold of the arms of the swing. I heard Ross spit into his hand.
“He won`t.” Ross snuggled into my back, his shaft nestled between my ass cheeks. I inhaled sharply at the first probing nudge. “I know this isn`t the most romantic spot, Jon, and for that I am sorry, but I can`t wait any longer to make you mine.”
“God, don`t be sorry!” I huffed. He moaned, thrust, and then began a pounding rhythm that soon had us both convulsing. It wasn`t a tender moment by any means, but it was just what we both needed. My spunk slathered my hand. Ross was gently easing himself out when I looked back at him. Our eyes met. The little frogs continued to sing, now joined by a huge bullfrog. Ross pulled my back flush to his chest. He kissed my ear, jaw, and then, finally, my mouth. His prick hung flaccid against my slippery backside.
“Stay the night,” he said into my mouth. I shook my head. I couldn`t risk it although God knows I wanted nothing more. He laid his forehead to my shoulder, his arms tight around my waist. “I knew that would be the answer when I asked. Can we see each other tomorrow?”“You`re welcome to come help me with the wash in the morning,” I said. He mumbled something about laundry and then slowly got to his feet. I stood up as well, hurrying to get my trousers and boxers up over my tender ass. Once I had my belt buckled I walked up to Ross and grabbed a hug from the rear.
“Mmm, such a big, strong bruin,” I sighed nuzzling the back of his neck with my nose.
“If I get too possessive or pushy, just swat my nose.”
I laughed into his wide back. “Possessive is pretty keen in my book.”
“Are you sure this old man is what you want?”
“Don`t be a meatball,” I assured him, kissing him behind his ear.
“You kids and your hep talk,” Ross mumbled. We stood pond-side for quite a spell, his hands resting on my arms. “We`ll get through this and come out on the sunny side, Jon.”
He was an optimist. How nice. My pessimistic nature could use a little sunshine.

Monday Author/Book Spotlight - Colbie Carter's Sold Into Salvation

Today in the spotlight is another new friend, the talented and lovely Colbie Carter! She's dropped by to tell us about her latest Gone Writing Publishing book, Sold Into Salvation.

Blurb:Brooke Kennedy has always led a sheltered life. Shy, quiet, and brainy, she invested all of her time into her education to become a doctor. But when she takes a vacation halfway across the world to visit her father who is living in Romania, her tightly-stitched world is ripped apart at the seams when she is snatched into the sex trade, and sold at auction. But being bought turned out to be her salvation, and when the dark secret behind her kidnapping is uncovered, she must turn to the man who bought her in order to survive.
Romanian-born CIA operative Dorin Milosovici lives his life with his survival being his only concern. Being a street kid in Bucharest only prepared him for a life as a Marine, then a spy. When the Agency sends him back to his homeland for an undercover operation, he is less than thrilled. But when a kidnapped American woman is placed on the auction block, drugged out of her mind, he posts the winning bid in order to save her. When Brooke comes to him in danger once again, it's no longer only his survival he must fight for. His cover is blown, the only thing that matters now is getting he and Brooke back to the United States safely. He just never expected to fall for the introverted, innocent kidnapping victim in his care.

Excerpt:
The auctioneer stopped for a moment, a devious grin spreading across his face. “We have an extra special item up for bid next. She's a little older than the rest of our ladies, but she won't disappoint. She's an American, and is as pure and untouched as she looks! Minimum bid is ten thousand.”
The crowd whooped and cheered as the next girl was ushered on stage.
Dorin's heart careened in his chest. Oh... God, no.
Long brown hair, olive skin, 5'7”.
Brooke Kennedy.
Tugged onto the stage by one arm, her bare feet padded across the wood floor. She was dressed like the others, in just a bra and panties. Her long hair was mussed, and her big, dark eyes were glazed with drugs. She stood in the middle of the stage, her arms hanging limp at her sides as her eyes were fixed in front of her in a blank stare.
Dorin wanted to run up on that stage, throw the girl over his shoulder, and make a beeline out of the club. But he couldn't blow his cover.
Do something.
“Starting bid at ten—”
“Fifteen thousand!” Dorin blurted at the top of his lungs.
“I— fifteen thousand! Do I hear sixteen?” Another bidder joined in and raised the bid.
“Seventeen!” Dorin countered.
The other bidder countered with eighteen.
Dorin was shaking, his heart had taken up residence in his throat, and his mouth ran dry. He couldn't screw this up. If she were bought by anyone else, she would disappear forever. He took a deep breath.
“Twenty thousand!”
Dorin waited for a counter; he'd keep going as high as he had to. He was walking out of this club with Brooke, even if he had to resort to violence.

Snippet Sunday

Welcome back! Today we have another excerpt from Full Strength, the last book in Victor Kalinski's trilogy. Some of you may remember that in the last book, the Cougar organization made it mandatory for Vic to start seeing the team psychiatrist. This did not please Victor, but since he needs to stay on the straight and narrow or risk being put on waivers, he swallowed his pride and is now meeting with Dr. Chris Lotnick. Just to clarify, Victor seems to think that Dr. Lotnick looks like Mrs. Weasley from the Harry Potter movies, hence his referring to her as Dr. Weasley on occasion. Here is a little peek into how the first session went.

Please be advised that there is mature language because it's Victor Kalinski and he's a hockey player. Enjoy the snippet and when you're done skate on over to Cathy Brockman's blog to see what she's been working on!

**~*~**
Why yes. Yes it could get worse. Not only did Dr. Weasley seem to be happy to see me, her office was revolting. It was all peachy-tan with potted plants hanging in front of a big window. One wall held a bookshelf and another had a painting of some sort of weird Watership Down shit like bloody rabbits limping across a battlefield.
"Did Charlie Manson paint this or what?" I asked as I studied a white fuzzy lump jabbing at another white fuzzy lump with a bayonet.
            "No, my daughter did."
I turned my head to look at her over my shoulder. "No offense, but your daughter has some major fucking issues. Maybe you should let her take my slots."
"Perhaps you're just projecting onto the picture. When I look at it I see a red sunset." I returned my attention to the oil painting. If I squinted and tipped my head to the left maybe it could be a sunset, and the white things were clouds and not rabbits on the warpath. "Why don't you come have a seat? We can chat and get to know each other a little better."
"I'd rather look at the rabbit genocide."
"Yes, well, as fine as your ass is, I'd rather look at your face."
I spun around and gave her a randy wink. "You sly old MILF you."
She smiled, pressed the hem of her green dress tighter to her thighs, and then nodded her redhead to the chair next to hers. I walked over then dropped into the chair.
"I'll admit that I'm shocked that you came of your own accord, Mister Kalinski," she said then placed the glasses that hung on her neck from some beaded chain to her pug nose. "After reading the teams reports, I assumed the only thing that would get you into my office was if you were hog-tied and carried in over someone's shoulder."
            "I'm just full of surprises."
"So I see. I also see that you're known for being brutally honest, almost to the point  of using honesty as a weapon." I inclined my head then folded my arms over my chest. "Would you like to proceed as we are, pretending to be social and feeling each other out? Or would you prefer to just get right to the meat of things?"
"I'm big on getting to the meat," I tossed out in hopes of getting something from her. She just nodded her scarlet head and leveled cool brown eyes at me.
"Good. I like to cut out the bullshit as well. Why don't you tell me about your anger issues?" She sat back and crossed one chunky leg over the other. "Why are you so angry all the time?"
"I wouldn't be angry all the time if stupid people didn't piss me off continually."
"So your anger is everyone else's fault?"
"Bingo. Can I go now? My gay lover needs me to help him bleach his asshole."
"Are you trying to shock me with the fact that you're engaged in a homosexual relationship with your teammate?" She asked. I had been but I sure as hell wasn't about to cop to it. "If so, you're going to have to do better. I've heard much, much worse so you can stop deflecting and answer my original question."

"I think I don't like you much even if you are Ron's mom."

Life is a Stevie Wonder Song - Goodreads

Blurb:

Authors know that their muse is a fickle creature. Best-selling spy novelist Stephen Ramsey has been in a hate-hate relationship with his inspiration for months. When Stephen's publisher lays a legal ultimatum upon him, with a rapidly approaching deadline, he knows he must do something to kick-start his creativity or face the unemployment line. His daughter comes up with a possible answer: a summer camp for the creative soul. With nothing to lose, Stephen packs up his laptop, phonograph and beloved record albums and heads from Greenwich Village to the Catskill Mountains. There, among a horde of college students attending for extra credits, is Declan Pomeroy, a photographer of fey creatures who is twenty-two years younger than Stephen. The woods are a magical place, and he quickly finds himself falling under the spell of the free-spirited photographer. Confusion wars with desire inside Stephen as he succumbs to the feelings welling up inside. But, sadly, summer camp always has to end. Cover Reveal for Life is a Stevie Wonder Song!

While this book isn't a holiday book, I'm calling it my Christmas gift to y'all this year! It was an amazing book for me to write as it was one of those "I MUST write this!" ideas. After getting the characters worked out I dove in and had this novella done in about three weeks. I'm generally a quick writer anyway, but this story just would not be contained.

It's my first GFY (gay for you) tale but it won't be my last. I just wrapped up a GFY novel titled Home Ice for NaNoWriMo so this genre is one that I seem to be enjoying. I hope you enjoy Stephen and Declan's story as well.

I generally don't work with soundtracks but for this book, I made an exception. It was pure joy to be able to hear the amazing Stevie Wonder playing in the background. His music was truly inspirational throughout the book.

Here's the preorder link for the Torquere Press Store. I'll add more buy links as they become available:

Now let's enjoy the cover, the blurb and an excerpt from Life is a Stevie Wonder Song!

Excerpt:
PG-13 - Mature language & gay sexual situations

A sharp rap on the door a week later jolted me out of my zone. My eyes were dry. I looked over my shoulder at the door, my mind still lingering on the rambling oration I had been writing. No, it was not the next Mick Dell. What I had been writing for the past two days was literary vomit, if I were being honest. It was stream-of-consciousness crap for sure, a fifteen-page run-on sentence hidden under the regurgitation of masticated wordage. By God, it felt good to put words on virtual paper, even if it was just journaling.
"Come in," I called loudly over Hall & Oates on the record player. Declan peeked around the door. A slight arrhythmia occurred in my chest. I hurried to save and close the Word document. A lot of what I had been spewing out revolved around the young man entering my space. For as slight as he was, he certainly filled the bungalow. "Would you like a beer?"
He smiled in that weird whimsical way of his then rushed over to stand in front of the old portable record player I toted everywhere.
"Wow, you have vinyl," he said.
I closed my laptop and placed it on the round table in front of the loveseat.
"A whole box," I offered as I pushed to my bare feet. I noticed that Declan had no shoes once more. He had nice feet. Small and well formed. My feet belonged on an orangutan, according to my daughter. "Do I have to card you?"
He laughed softly and shook his head. His hair flowed around his head with the movement. The lamp highlighted small streaks of summer gold amid the dark brown.
"I'm twenty-two. Man, these are awesome." He dropped to his knees to flip through the box of albums. I went to the fridge as he whispered to himself. "I don’t know any of these bands," he told me after I tapped his shoulder with a cold one. He was clad in brown cargo shorts and a white tank top cut low under his toned arms. The shirt hung off him. Declan took the beer, sipped it gingerly, set it beside him on the floor, and continued examining my music.
I sat down on the loveseat, wildly curious about what had brought this photographer of fey creatures to my door this evening. For a long while, I contented myself with simply enjoying his reactions to some of the more obscure groups he found. His face and eyes were expressive, amazingly so at times. He barely touched his beer. After about ten minutes passed, the record needed turning over. I rose and walked over to the desk the player rested on.
"So, what brings you here tonight?" I asked casually as I lifted the needle from the record and flipped it over. When he didn’t reply, I looked down at him. His gaze rested on me. A surge of raw lust raced through me to see him kneeling there. The album nearly slid from my fingers. What was going on with me? I was straight. I had been married three times and had a child two years younger than this capricious young man.
"It’s a full moon. Do you want to come capture the fey on film with me?"
God yes. "Really?" I asked as I lined up the hole in the album with the spindle. "Sure."
Declan smiled. His teeth were white and straight. I wanted to kiss him. No, it was more than a mere want. It was a crazy, irrational, wild need to kiss him, taste him, and feel him pressed tightly to me. My cock began to lengthen. I turned from him sitting there on his calves so enticingly.
"I'll be back at midnight," he announced as he sprang to his feet. "Wear as little as possible."
"Okay."
Out he went. A June bug flew in as Declan exited. The massive beetle bounced around the lampshade. The crickets outside quieted as my captivating guest bounced through the grass. I let the album slide down the spindle, then bent over to pick up the bottle of beer my neighbor had left behind. Would it be too weird to drink after him hoping to taste him on the glass?

Tuesday Tales - Evil

Bartlett leaned back in his seat. The chair screamed and he grimaced at the pained sound his seat had made.
“It`s to ensure the welfare of the child. The laws have changed dramatically in regard to adoption, foster parenting, and all aspects of child welfare. I`m sure you`ve got nothing to worry about.” His smile, meant to be reassuring, looked hollow. “After all, a brother taking in his sister`s orphan is an upstanding Christian thing to do. Pity you don`t have a wife yet, but perhaps one of the pretty women of your hometown will catch your eye.”
I forced my face into what I hoped looked like a smile. I offered Bartlett my hand and he took it, but it was begrudgingly. I wouldn`t hold that against him. I was a first-class evil louse. I admit it. Bartlett seemed happy to see me edging to the door. Probably he was just relieved to be done with this whole sordid mess.
I stepped out onto the sidewalk. Andy held onto my hat for me. We were parked across the street. I turned left and walked, my mind a jumbled-up mess until I heard the shop bells tinkling overhead and drew in a good snort of sawdust. Ross stepped from the backroom while tying his smock tightly around his waist. His brow furrowed and he hurried over to take Andrew from my arms. The boy went without a fuss. I rushed past the man, hit the backroom, and then slid down to the floor, my ass bumping over the knots in the pine-board wall.
Ross and Andy were chatting quietly on the other side of the door while I had a breakdown. I wept uncontrollably in a violent short burst. When the curtain of despair lifted my nose was plugged solid and my legs were knotted from sitting on them. Oddly enough, or perhaps not odd at all, Ross was there with a handkerchief and a hand up. He embraced me. Andy pattered over to join in on the hug, his arms encircling our legs.
“They`re going to investigate me before I can keep Andrew,” I whispered beside his ear. He hugged me a little tighter and then stepped briskly backwards. “They`ll find out, Ross.”
“How about you and the boy come over to my place tonight?” he asked, his grey eyes calm and serene. This was far too intimate and we both knew it. I lifted Andrew from the floor. We had to leave. Now. Before someone came in and saw what I was sure was plainly written all over my face. “I`ll cook and we can talk, maybe have a beer. I have a pond to fish in.”
“Can we go fish at the pond, Uncle Jon?”
My head rolled to the side to rest against hair an exact match for mine. I couldn`t speak right off. How had I ever thought of handing him to strangers?
“We`ll need directions,” I said. Ross escorted me to the showroom. I left with a neatly drawn map and a very excited young man. I looked at nobody as we walked the few blocks to my car. Folks didn`t stop me to pass along condolences. They just let me and Andy walk on by. Those disparaging looks and cold glances suited me fine. Andy and me – we didn`t need one damn thing from those holier-than-thou judgmental prigs, we were Porter men. All we needed was each other . . . and maybe a forty cent an hour minimum wage job.
Pausing on the sidewalk at the end of the block, Andy`s hand in mine, I looked back at the humble woodworker`s shop.
Okay. Maybe we needed one more thing.             Copyright 2013 ©by V.L. Locey

Monday Author/Book Spotlight - Jane Heron

Please welcome a new friend to our little corner of the interweb! Jane Heron is here to day to fill us in on her books as well as tell us a little about herself. She's also one of my fellow Gone Writing Publishing authors!

Hello fellow readers, it’s so lovely to meet you all xx

My name is Jane and I write under the name J A Heron. I currently live in a small town called Burton on Trent in the heart of England. This little town is famous for making beer and is the home of Coors Brewery. I have published four books so far… Belleza, Alias, 30 Days and GirlsQuad. I have three other WIP’s on the go including the sequel to GirlsQuad. I like to try my hand at anything, so sticking to one genre is not for me. I have written two contemporary romance novels, one erotic thriller and chick lit – rom/com.One of my WIP’s is in fact a paranormal, it will have lots of twists and turns and I am keen to get a move on and write it. But I have other commitments before I can do that. I am incredibly proud of all that I have achieved and I am lucky enough to have a few followers of my work. If you would like to know more about my current books and any future projects, feel free to join my discussion group à https://www.facebook.com/groups/668506409924457/
I have many social network accounts, so I can be found all over the place… here are all my media sites.

Snippet Sunday

Welcome back for another Snippet Sunday!
Since I wrapped up Home Ice last month, I'm now working on something new. Something that fans of old V. Kalinski will be excited about. Yep, I've just started Full Strength, the last book of Vic and Dan's trilogy.
In this snippet Vic and Dan are on their way back to Cayuga from Minnesota after the guys were viciously outed on Twitter. Dan has already addressed the press. Vic and Dan are sharing the ride back to New York state with Heather Pavlick, the young lady that named Victor, our bisexual leading man, as the father of her unborn child in a paternity suit. Enjoy the excerpt and when you're done skate on over to Cathy Brockman and Ellie Mack's blogs for some sneak peeks at their work!
There is mature language because: 1-hockey players and 2-Victor Kalinski. Also, you may find some gay sexual situations. If this offends then you may wish to head to a different blog.

*~*

"Is there something about pregnant bladders?" I asked as Dan and I meandered through the convenience store while Heather used the bathroom.
"You're asking me?" He picked up a package of nacho cheese flavored chips and tossed them into the basket riding in the crook of his arm. "Want some blue cheese corn chips?"
"Sure." I followed the Munchkin with the killer ass. "So what the hell would have made her cry like that? I mean, is Manfred Mann that fucking sob worthy?"
Dan shrugged a meaty shoulder. "I never even heard of Manfred Mann before this car trip. Think we should try to find something nutritious?" His lapis eyes, those eyes that fill my dreams, scanned the inside of the gas station/convenience store.
"You'll be lucky to find doughnuts that haven't been here since Nixon was in office," I said as I lifted up a box of uncooked macaroni and peered into the small cellophane window. "So is that normal? Crying over a fucking Manfred Mann song?"
"I think so," he replied then threw a box of powdered doughnuts into his basket. I yanked open a cooler on my right and extracted three bottles of milk, two chocolate and one white for Miss Weepy Britches in the powder room. "I've seen some shows about how a woman's hormones are all over the place when they're pregnant."
"Hmm." I glanced up when the bells over the door jingled. Heather bounced in looking cheerleader pretty. "You okay with all this?"
Dan looked up from the rows of snack cakes to me then to Heather chatting up the kid behind the counter. She was all white-toothed smiles and flowing golden hair. I bet that teenager staring at her like a besotted beaver had a boner so big it was probably tapping the alarm button under the countertop.
"With her you mean?" Dan whispered. I nodded. He then nudged me back a few steps, so Heather couldn't hear us. "She's okay," Dan said glancing over his shoulder to make sure she wasn't coming toward us then looking back at me. New whiskers covered his cheeks and neck. I had an urge to slam him against the wall and grind my face against his body, starting at his neck then making my way downward until his balls were pink and tender from the abrasion of my whiskers against them. "Stop thinking about sexing me up."
A sly smile tugged at my lips. Fuck but he knew me well.
"Sorry. It's been a couple days," I offered as an excuse.
"Poor little Vic," he snorted. Heather giggled at the register. "I'm okay with her. She's nice. A little airy for my tastes, but I know you guys dig the vapid blonde thing with women."
"Us guys? You mean us bisexual guys or the straight guys?"
"Either," Dan huffed then leaned his shoulder against the cooler. "Maybe it's just her, you know? Like, her personality, but she acts stupid."
"Nah man, she's just perky," I said, my gaze still roaming over Dan's corded neck.
"Maybe." He didn't sound convinced. "Whatever the case, she's nice enough. I wish Brooks wasn't so smitten with her. The team doesn't have nice things to say about her."
"So now you, the gay man, are going to sit in judgment of another person's sexual behavior? Wow."
            Dan's blue eyes sparked.
