Review & Good News~
Today, I received a marvelous review from Cecilia at Rather Barefoot than Bookless, and I will admit that I was as giddy as a little girl the whole time I read it! It was a good way to wake up :) [view review here]
Then, not shortly afterward, my husband informed me that she also posted a 'Teaser Tuesday' involving Twin Souls. I was ecstatic when I found out! [view teaser here]
And to make today an even more exciting day, beyond battling an army of ants that invaded through my back door, I was hard at work completing my final read-through of Hybrid and am happy to announce that it will be going through the formatting process tonight and then submitted to Amazon immediately afterward! So expect to see Hybrid, Book Two of the Nevermore Series on Amazon soon!
I am also getting very close to finishing the third book, and hopefully it won't take as long to edit.
That is all of my book-related news for the moment. Tomorrow I am taking my mother-in-law to the airport after she visited for a little over a month. It will be sad to see her leave, and my daughter Emily will be very disappointed :(

Cover Revision
After twelve hours of editing, deciding I didn't like one thing or another and changing it to something else, altering colors, picking just the right background, and adding all of the little bits and pieces that made it whole...I am proud to present you with the new and improved cover for Hybrid!
I have also edited the font on Twin Souls to be more readable as a thumbnail.
I cannot wait to have Hybrid through editing and released for everyone to read!

Delay
I was having some issues with Amazon that have been resolved finally, however there is going to be a minor delay in the release of Hybrid. I hope to release it in the next week or so, but at this point I cannot make any promises.
On a lighter note, I was featured on Indie Author News and you can find the post here.
Also, I have a sneak peek at the cover of book two to share with you!
I hope this stirs ideas in your head about what could possibly happen to change Alexis's life this time around.
I am seventy pages into Sacrifice and would definitely have more by now but I had to put writing on temporary hiatus while my mother-in-law is visiting. I am very excited for Hybrid to be released soon and even more excited for Sacrifice.

Whale Unveil
I am very excited to say that my book has been featured on Book Whales with an excerpt and brief interview with yours truly! You can find it here.
My computer had a bit of an accident about two nights ago and therefore I had to go through the dreadful process of saving all of my important files on my husband's computer and my handy little Darth Vader USB drive, then re-install Windows 7 completely...but nothing was lost fortunately and I am back to writing Sacrifice. I'm about a third of the way through writing it, and my editor is working hard on finishing Hybrid.
At this point I am not sure if it will be published by the end of this week [considering it is already Friday, ha] but it will be released by the end of the month.
In a few days I shall post a sneak peek of the cover to Hybrid, also...so that gives you something more to look forward to!

Diablo III
As some of you may know - Diablo III is released tonight at midnight! I shall be among the millions of players and I am incredibly excited about its release - finally! My husband has been waiting ten years for the release of this game, so he is even more ecstatic about it than I am.
But, I can promise you this - it won't get in the way of my writing or editing. I still intend for Hybrid to be released before the end of this month. A few things in my editor's personal life interfered with the editing process but we are working through that and my editor should have it done hopefully within the next week.
I am thirty pages into the third book and it has been a much bigger struggle to write than the first two for a few different reasons. This one requires a lot of research on my behalf and I actually had to do something that I have never done when writing a story - I needed to brainstorm and write out my ideas. Usually I just sit down at the keyboard and the words come flowing out, but this one needed to be plotted out exactly in order for things to make sense. Some things are also based in real locations so I am having to make sure I get everything as accurate as possible.
All-in-all, I think that Sacrifice is going to be the best book in the series...but you will have to wait until this summer to find out for yourself!

Author Interview
I am beyond exhausted, I woke up earlier than usual to get my daughter ready to go to Story Time at the library with her great grandfather, aunt and cousin. Going to bed at 3am and then waking up at 9am is not always a wise decision ;) But, when you're up trying to write during the few hours of silence you get...I guess that gives me a valid enough excuse, right?

One month
It has officially been a month since I published Twin Souls and I managed to sell forty-seven copies in that single month! That may not seem like a lot, but I am still very proud of it and cannot wait to sell even more and for the sequel to be out and ready for reading!
I have several reviews expected to come out this month, so I look forward to seeing what everyone has to say. There is also an interview with me scheduled for tomorrow morning, which I shall redirect you to when the time comes for those of you interested in reading it!

Slight Retouching
After some unexpected - yet much appreciated - advice from a fellow author, my editor and I went through Twin Souls and edited a few things here and there that I somehow passed up the first hundred or so times I read through it. So it has been retouched a little bit and hopefully it has been improved :)
Now to resume editing and formatting Hybrid!
