RECORDED ATTACKS TATTOOS

A friend of mine just gave me this copy of Rebel Ink magazine , which gave me, and especially Ibraim Roberson one hell of a shoutout. Apparently Tattoo artist Erin Chance likes “The Zombie Survival Guide: Recorded Attacks” enough to stab its images into people’s skin. For Ibraim, the artist behind ZSG: RA, there is no higher compliment!

Seattle Canceled due to weather.

Because of the blizzard now hitting the Washington coast, the University of Seattle has decided to postpone my visit to a later date. I’ll post the rescheduled date as soon as we have one. Sorry.

World War Z to be a Trilogy…

TOURING THE CDC

Recently I was given a unique opportunity to tour the Center for Disease Control in Atlanta, Georgia. During my tour I had the opportunity to speak with Dr. Ali Khan, the Director of the Office of Public Health Preparedness and Response, as well as the creative team behind their new zombie preparedness outreach program. My experience was as comforting as it was terrifying. The comfort came from seeing how intelligent, organized and proactive the CDC’s efforts are both at home and around the world. The terror came from the revelation that these efforts are now under fire from our own government. In the new political climate of deficit reduction and budget slashing, the CDC has watched its resources shrink by roughly one third. At a time when the global population is exploding, national borders are fading, and the existential threat of disease has never been greater, our first and best line of defense is being dismantled.

The Great Wall

For a while now, Thomas Tull (Legendary Entertainment) and I have been kicking around an idea about a movie that takes place at the Great Wall of China (not to be confused with my short zombie WWZ story ‘Great Wall’). Now it looks like Ed Zwick (Glory, Last Samurai) is interested in developing the project.
