Amazon Kindle allows authors free promotion days, and I used one of those on Black Friday. I've decided to use the rest of the free days beginning Saturday, December 22 and will end on Christmas Day. So, if you've been waiting, and you're sti...

Q&A with Sydney Logan - Author of Lessons Learned

1. Who's your favorite author, and why?

This is impossible to answer, but I can list some favorites. I love Judy Blume, Shel Silverstein, S.E. Hinton, Nicholas Sparks, Stephenie Meyer, J.K. Rowling, John Grisham, and Madeline L’Engle. Of this list, my favorite is probably Nicholas Sparks. The man never fails to touch my heart and bring me to tears.

2. If you could have a conversation with one of the characters in your most-recently released novel, which one would it be and why...

Q&A with Allie Jean - Author of Legacy of a Dreamer

1. Who's your favorite author, and why?
I love this question and here’s why. I am a HUGE fan of authors who can create their own worlds, something original and clever, which has its own set of rules the characters living it have to go by that cannot be broken or bent. This is incredibly hard to do, for I’m attempting to do that with my own series. There are some people, however, who have mastered it. J.R. Tolkien for example, but I’d say my favorite author right now is J.K. Rowling. The...

Q&A with Sandi Layne - Author of the upcoming Eire's Captive Moon

Upcoming release:  Éire’s Captive Moon, January 10, 2013

1. Who's your favorite author, and why?

I don't have just one favorite, alas.  Jane Austen is a favorite because her stories are wonderful character studies about a few unique women and the men who love them.  Stephen King is a favorite because he also does rich characters and wonderful plots that involve multiple perspectives.  Francine Rivers is a favorite because her inspirational historical fiction nove...

A Personal Post

Out of respect for the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, there will be no Author to Author blog post today (December 15).

Today was actually my day to be featured. If you've had the chance to read Lessons Learned, you know what happens in the prologue. Because of my prologue, and because of yesterday's events, I asked to be moved to next week. You'll be able to read my Q&A on December 18.

My scenario in Lessons...

Q&A with Angel Lawson - Author of Serial Summer

1. Who's your favorite author, and why? Impossible to answer question. I've always been a fan of Stephen King and Barbara Kingsolver. I love Harry Potter and the world building and I'm currently rereading The Hunger Games for the third time and even though I know the outcome I'm still on the edge of my seat.

2. If you could have a conversation with one of the characters in your most-recently released novel, which one would it be and why? Ruby, because we could talk about zombies and going to...

Q&A with L.V. Lewis - Author of Fifty Shades of Jungle Fever (Adult Fiction for Readers 18+)

1. Who’s your favorite author, and why?

I have many that I love, but if I had to choose a favorite from among them, it would be Walter Moseley. I fell in love with “Devil in a Blue Dress” from his Easy Rawlins Mystery series, which was adapted into a movie starring my Hollywood boyfriend, Denzel Washington as Easy, and my other Hollywood boyfriend, Don Cheadle as Mouse, because the writing was so crisp and his stories so colorful. Processing the stories Moseley writes about pre-civil rig...
