Guardian

Guardian is the title of my new eBook. It is about my late dog Holly, actually where my pen name comes from. It is written in first person perspective so the reader gets an insight into how she must've felt. She was always there for my sister and I. This story is in memory of her because I felt that I had to do something to honor her. I was going to write a poem but poetry isn't my thing. So, I put my pen to paper to compose a story and this was created.

It will be available on the iBookstore and Barnes and Noble. Of course, it is always available on Lulu.com. It is only $3.00. I would appreciate it very much if you get yourself a copy.

I am hoping this story can serve to inspire you as well. Your dog isn't just a dog, especially not to them. They mean so much more, they are so much more. They are loyal, faithful companions. Think twice the next time you look into the face of your dog. What is your dog to you? What do you think you are to them? To me, Holly was my Guardian. To her, I was her girl and she always took care of me.

Next time you see a lost dog, don't simply ignore it. Remember that it is someone's beloved companion. How would you feel if you lost your best friend, your companion, your baby, your Guardian? Do what you can to help the poor lost soul, even if it is just laying out a bowl of food and some water. Ideally, every person that encounters a soul like this would be able to reunite it with its owner, as my sister and I did for a dog named Tommy. But that, my friends, is a different story for another day.

Holly is in all of our hearts and on my mantle.
