End of June already?

It’s been a while since I’ve had a chance to post. Sorry about that. Work on book two has had to take precedence, and even that hasn’t gone as planned. I keep plugging away at it, though.  For that reason, I’m signing up for Camp Nanowrimo again. I’m pulling out my guide for writing fast […]

reading for Memorial day

As you know, I’ve written a lot of soldier characters. No? From my Celtic Warriors in the Stewards War series, to the ghost soldiers in Antique Magic, to the veterans in Gears, Cogs, and Puppy Dogs. If not, and you’d like to try them out, you can start with Caitlin’s Book of Shadows, that short […]

What gives me direction in my life

What gives me direction in my life? That’s a tough one. I could start with the cliché answer and say “my family and upbringing” and while that’s true, that’s not all. The main plot point of my life (I suppose we can call it that), I would say, is probably storytelling. I don’t know when […]

Lady of a Gilded Age by Suzanne G. Rogers

Author Suzanne G. Rogers has released her latest historical romance novel, Lady of a Gilded Age, continuing an older series. Woot! *pushes one-click button* So I invited her here to tell us a little more about it. Writing a sequel by Suzanne G. Rogers When I was working on my latest release, Lady of a […]

Hello, friends. Welcome to a dip into First Kiss Friday. (Wow, this week has gone by fast!) Anyway, I’m featuring Cindaria and Spencer’s first kiss from my new novel A Waltz Before Midnight today. Here we go: Excerpt: He twirled her in time to the music and caught her in his arms. His gaze softened […]

A Waltz Before Midnight Snippet Sunday #MFRW #histrom #Victorianera

Welcome to Snippet Sunday. Here’s a snippet from my latest historical romance, A Waltz Before Midnight (The Lost Slipper Society, book 1).This follows the earlier sample which you can read here. Grateful for her friend’s perception, tension lessened, and she drew her to the side. “My stepmother refused to let us attend the dance, at […]

What topics do I like to discuss?

*waves hand around the room. Have you been to my site before? My favorite topics to talk about are easy: I am a writer, specifically of historical romance and fantasy. So, I talk about my books, the writing of them, promo, etc. So, like I said, this blog is mostly dedicated to my own books. […]

What place in the world do you never want to visit? Why?

Some place I’d never want to visit? I can’t say there is any place that fits that bill, although I’m not keen on flying. I’m waiting for the day science and industry comes up with transporters. Then I’ll be all over the place. 🙂 Where would you go if you had a transporter?

How do you unwind after a demanding day?

How do I unwind after a demanding day? This one is easy. If I don’t have the energy to read a book (and yes, sometimes I don’t!), movies are my main evening entertainment. Funnily, sometimes that just helps refill the creativity well. More often than not, we’ll just pick one to watch while we’re having […]

One positive change I have made in my life recently

It’s funny they should ask this on the daily prompts. It’s not exactly a change I have made but one that has happened to me in recent weeks. I lost two of my major social media platforms, due to….well, for lack of a better explanation, glitches. I no longer have a Facebook account, and you… Continue reading One positive change I have made in my life recently
