EXCLUSIVE! 20 Questions with Awkward's Jillian Rose Reed
1. Bomb-dot-com: Beyond awesome
Q: What's a bomb-dot-com day like for you
“Well, I would probably start by sleeping in… even though that only means until, like, 9am. Then I'd get up, have brunch at my favorite place, and spend the afternoon shopping or hanging out with my friends and family.”
2. Brillz: Brilliant
Q: What's the most brillz cat video you’ve ever seen?
"I JUST saw this video of a cat dressed in a shark costume, riding one of those mini round vacuum things. Doesn't get more brillz than that."
3. Barney: A guy you don't want to be seen with
Q: Which perceived Barney would you absolutely love to be seen with?
"Dan Humphrey from Gossip Girl! He's supposed to be the nerdy, lower-class guy, but I'm totally in love with him!"
4. BBF: Back-burner friend, the one you hang out with as a last resort
Q: Have you ever felt like a BBF?
"I am extremely lucky to have really great friends, so I haven't ever really felt like a last resort. But, if you feel like a BBF, you definitely need to talk to your friend! If you guys care about each other, there's nothing a conversation can't fix."
5. Call shenanigans: To call out something
Q: When was the last time you called shenanigans?
"Oh, I call shenanigans every day! I hang around with a bunch of crazy people like my friends and my boyfriend. They're always joking around, and I'm always calling them out on things!"
6. Cheesetastic: So cheesy, it's almost cool
Q: Give an example of a cheesetastic pick-up line.
"Here's my opinion on pick-up lines: they're ALL super cheesy. So if a guy has the guts to use a pick-up line, then it’s cheesetastic. I'm a fan of the classic ‘Did it hurt when you fell? Because you must be from heaven.’ That's a really cheesetastic one."
7. Dramacakes: Metaphorical item one bakes when dealing with bad news
Q: When you bake dramacakes, what do you actually do?
"When I bake dramacakes, I tend to take something that isn't actually a big deal and make it the biggest deal of my life. I spiral and probably cry, until I realize I'm being way overdramatic. I tend to burn my dramacakes, not just bake them."

8. Face-mail: Saying something in person that you would normally only
have the guts to say over email
Q: What are three things best said on Face-mail?
"1) Telling a guy, 'It IS you, because it's definitely not me.' 2) Telling someone that she's a skitch, like Sadie (Molly Tarlov) does all the time. That takes a lot of nerve… but it's also really mean so don't do it. 3) Telling your crush you like him/her. That's something you should TOTALLY do via Face-mail. It's way more exciting."
9. Fail Mary: A very bad idea
Q: What's your biggest fail Mary?
"I often think that it's a good idea to run when I'm late or when I'm trying to catch up with someone. It usually ends up being a fail Mary because I always trip or fall or something. Every. Single. Time."
10. Fantasmic: Amazing, phenomenal
Q: What's the most fantasmic item you own?
"I'm going to go with my entire shoe collection. It's spread out over two full-sized closets. That in itself is fantasmic."
11. Freak-a-deak: Reacting in a stunned or jarring way
Q: What was the last thing you saw on the Internet that made you freak-adeak?
"I freak-a-deak whenever I see a video of a toddler freak-dancing. How do they get those moves?!?"
12. Genie in a Bottle: Genius
Q: What was the last genie-in-a-bottle idea you had in the kitchen?
"To buy a juicer! Now I can make yummy healthy meals anytime I want!"
13. H-2-T Gorge: Head-to-toe gorgeous
Q: What's the one item in your closet that never fails to make you feel H-2-T gorge?
"A pair of black skinny jeans. I can dress it up or down, and it's great for my figure!"
14. Haiku Advice: Nonsensical advice
Q: What's the worst haiku advice you've ever heard?
"To go to the gym when you have a cold. You don't sweat out all the toxins—you just feel worse!"

15. Hit shuffle: Change the subject
Q: When an awkward conversation makes you want to hit shuffle, what's your go-to topic?
"I immediately start talking about the exact same thing we were talking about before things got awkward. I'll repeat an entire conversation just to not have to talk about something that's weird."
16. House Arrest: Grounded
Q: When was the last time you were on house arrest?
"I didn't get grounded as a teenager—I was an angel!"
17. Nancy Drew: Overanalyze
Q: What was the last thing you Nancy Drew-ed, which in hindsight, was so trivial?
"I Nancy Drew daily, especially when it comes to my schedule. I always seem to make things more complicated than they need to be."
18. Rank: Gross, nasty
Q: What’s the rankest place you've ever been to?
"Any gas station bathroom. Those are the rankest."
19. Shame Spiral: Have a nervous breakdown
Q: How would you help a shame-spiraling friend?
"Listen to them spiral and talk them through it. Then end the night with some ice cream, pizza, and a good chick flick."
20. Thinktank: To think about a serious situation with your friends
Q: When you go shopping, do you thinktank with your girlfriends before purchasing stuff?
"Oh, yes! Even if we aren't together to thinktank, we thinktank over picture texts!"

Death by Feels: Game of Thrones and Doctor Who
"I feel like the world's about to end, with all these tweets and statuses," web fashion and beauty assistant Erin told me the other day. This week really feels like the apocalypse for two fandoms—even more so if you belong to both like I do.
It started on Sunday morning, which I usually reserved for Doctor Who mini marathons. Two of my three Whovian friends—so few, please come join the club!—tagged me on Facebook, and everything went downhill from there.
Matt Smith, the eleventh reincarnation of the Doctor in the British fantasy series Doctor Who, is bowing out after the 50th anniversary special (yes, 50th!) and the Christmas episode. It's been three seasons and Matt's been really vague in interviews, so I suppose I shouldn’t have been surprised. I felt it coming especially after the season seven finale, but Matt confirmed himself for season eight a couple of weeks ago! Never has this been more heartbreaking: "Rule number one: The Doctor lies."
