It was a beautiful day today, so I took these snaps from the Great Orme -
Then the weather turned slightly so I took this picture of Conwy Mountain from the bus window.
News on Power Within -
Due to reviews about grammar errors, I've hired a proofreader to correct the mistakes. So hopefully the professionally edited version will replace the original in about two weeks on Amazon and the new version will be sent out to all the book blog reviews who have Power Within on their 'to read' pile.
To the people who have already bought it- I will be having series of days where the book will be online for free. I will advertise these days so just simply download the new version.
News on the [Untitled] Lazarus Children #2
As of Monday 14th May the writing began. I will be trying a new editing process this time around, so hopefully it should be available in about four weeks.
News on Deadly Secrets (Book 1 of Willowhall Series)
This book was put on the back-burner due to assignments at University. Once my final exam is finished on 22nd May, I should be finishing this one up. Depending on which book (LC 2 or this one) I choose to write, this book might be released before or after the untitled Lazarus Children 2 book.

Catch Up
As of the other day my University assignments have been handed in and on Tuesday 22nd, my three years of the higher education will finally be over. During my short absent I have two more reviews:
One from the great gal behind Bornean Bookworm
'The best thing about this book was the story line was really unpredictable. I couldn’t predict what’s going to happen next and that added up to the whole anticipation. The wicked revelation about some people around her was one of the things I never saw coming. '- Full Review Here
And the other from Dolly, from Pure Textuality
'The main characters come to life on the pages. Each one is well thought out and fully developed. That’s especially true of Charlie and her family. They are not cut out copies by any means. Her best friend, Jake, is like a second main character with the background, thoughts and feelings that the author includes.'-Full Review Here
OKAY! ENOUGH of the plugging *hint* :)
While I was at work today, I managed to snap a couple of cool pictures. I was at Beaumaris looking out to the west of North Wales and the Snowdon Mountain Range, and the weather couldn't make up its mind if it wanted to rain, sleet or sunshine.
And after struggling with months of falling/lost post-its and fumbling through journals, I have a shiny new white board and spanking new cork board for plot outlines.
Simple things make me happy!

Chick Flicks
Anyone who knows me, know that I'm not a girly girl. My favourite genre is horror and science-fiction fantasy. But there come times when even me (I know!) need some lovey, over the top, romance. Like today for example. Instead of doing my dissertation, I've watched back-to-back rom coms.
My excuse - I'm testing my new TV....
(Ten Points to anyone who can tell me what movie I'm watching!)
Anyway, while tucking into some popcorn as I watched my second movie, I got to think about what my favourite chick flicks are. Here you go-
My Top Ten
10 - Drive Me Crazy (1999)
Joan (Melissa J Hart) gets jilted before the high school dance at the same time Chase (Adrian Grenier ) gets dumped by his girlfriend. The once best friends, decide to pretend to go out to get back at there crushes. You can guess what happens next...I love Adrian Grenier in this. Melissa Joan Hart will always be Sabrina the Teenage Witch to me, but she and Adrian were meant to be together!
Fav LineChase's Dad - We're moving in together!(Chase and Nicole look at them in shock)Nicole's Mom - Obviously, we need to talk about this.Nicole - Sure, well....tell you what. You talk about it here and we'll talk about it in the treehouse.
9 - Princess Diaries (2001)
15-year- old Mia learns that her long lost grandmother is Queen of Genovia. As the only blood heir to the throne, she is the last chance for the family to rule. A very funny take on the popular Meg Cabot books.Meg Cabot was my favourite author during High School. Her books are very easy to read and I fell in love with her writing as you can see -
(I had to put them sideways because I couldn't fit all the books on the shelf)
Fav Line
Michael - Why me?Mia - Because you saw me when I was invisible.
8 - Sixteen Candles (1984)
Samantha (Ringwald) turns sixteen the same day her big sister gets married. Annoyed that no one remembers she suffers in silence. I like this movie because it wasn't the girl who did most of the chasing. You followed the girl as well as the journey of the guy as he realises he's in love with Samantha.
Fav Line
Long Duck Dong - Oh sexy girrrllllfriend....Bonzai!
7 - Sense and Sensibility (2008)
After losing the male head of the family, the Dashwood's move to the Devon coast where both of the eldest Dashwood girls learn about love. The both bad and good. This is my favourite Austin book and I adore Elinor Dashwood's character. Though this isn't the more popular adaption, it's my favourite.
Fav Line
Elinor - I've suffered all the punishment of an attachment, without enjoying any of the advantages. I may not have shown it, Marianne, but let me assure you I've been very unhappy.
6 - Whip It (2009)
Bliss (Page) is an introverted teen who complies to her mothers wishes in participating in local pageants. During a trip to Austin, TX, she sees some roller derby girls. After seeing a game, she signs up. This is a great coming of age film. Ellen Page and the rest of the cast is hilarious. To bad roller derby isn't really like that in real life...
Fav Line
Hurl Scouts - We're number two! We're number two!Razor - You guys came in second out of two teams.Hurl Scouts - Whooo!Razor - Yeah, let's celebrate mediocrity. That's fantastic.
5 - The Wedding Date (2005)
Neurotic Kat (Messing) pays male prostitute to be her date to her sisters wedding in order to make her ex- fiance, also the best man, jealous. Debra Messing is great in anything she does, but the dance scene in this film where they are giving each other evils then they forgive each other is brilliant.
Fav Line
Nick - Close...your...eyes. You're safe. You can relax. I'm not going to kiss you. He's gonna be so sorry he lost you, so stop worrying. Forget the past. Forget the pain. And remember what an incredible woman you are. You do that and he'll realize what he lost. Kat - Holy crap. You're worth every penny.
4 - Dirty Dancing (1987)
Baby and her family go to a holiday camp, and that's were she meets Johnny and the other dancers there. Narrow minded Baby gets her eyes opened by the dancers and what life is like for people who are less privileged. Classic chick flick. I give you one guess what my favourite line is...
Fav Line
Baby - I carried a water melon!
3 - In Her Shoes (2005)
The two sisters, Maggie and Rose, are completely different. After a fling with her sisters lover, Maggie flees the city to her grandmothers. While Rose learns that there is more to life than work. I love the relationship between Rose and Simon, how it's fragile by Rose's self consciousness. I also love that they had 'Is This Love' by Bob Marly as their wedding song.
Fav Line
Maggie - Here is the deepest secret no one knows. Here is the root of the root... and the bud of the bud... and the sky of the sky of a tree called life... which grows higher than the soul can hope... or mind can hide. It is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart. I carry your heart. I carry it in my heart.
2 - Catch and Release
While Gray mourns the death of her fiance, truths about his life crop up. A shocking secret comes to life and Gray has to learn to deal with it. With the help of his three closest friends. Jennifer Garner is great in this, but the three friends steel the light for me (namely Kevin Smith). The film is made by comedy between them, the romance between Garner and Olyphant and the film locations is absolutely stunning.
Fav Line
Grey - I think catch and release fisherman are heartless weenies. I think putting a fish through agony for nothing more than your own entertainment is just plain cruel. I think if you're going to torture a living thing if, you're going to make it look into the eyes of its maker, face its own puny little place in the universe, then, for God's sake, have the decency to eat it!
Drum roll please........
1 - Practical Magic
Sisters Gillian and Sally are witches. They have grown up with the knowledge of the craft but also the thought of the family curse. That every man that falls in love with a Owen's woman is doomed. This is such an amazing film. I love the sister relationship between Bullock and Kidman and the aunts are adorable. Add that to a fantastic soundtrack and an awesome house (Really, I wish I lived there) this movie get's me every time.
Fav Line (this is very HARD!)
Young Sally - (whispers) I never want to fall in love. I never want to fall in love. I never want to fall in love. Young Gillian - I can't wait to fall in love.
-
So here you go - My top chick flicks. I know I've missed probably some of the more famous ones, like Pretty Woman (which I can't stand!) but that's just me.
Here's some of the runners up that didn't quite make my top 10 - 27 Dresses, Bend It Like Beckham, Footloose, Jane Eyre (the 2006 version), Pretty in Pink, Gone With The Wind, Thelma and Louise and My Girl.
My excuse - I'm testing my new TV....

Here's a snippet of an author interview by Alice in Readerland-
Look below for an interview I had with author C.L. Causer!Me: How did you become interested in writing?C.L.: I dreamt of being in every career by the time I was twelve. From a marine biologist to an expedition adventurer. I knew I would never be any of these things (my imagination was a little uncontrollable then), but it didn’t stop me from imagining and making up stories and writing about them. As I got older these stories I wrote got bigger and I realized that it was the writing part that I loved. These world’s I created became my refuge.Me: How did you come up with the idea for Power Within ?C.L.: There are loads of films, comics, and TV shows like, X-men and Heroes , that revolve around people with superpowers, but I couldn’t find any fictional novels about it. I knew it would be something I would read, and so began the writing…

"I hope I'm wrong when I say: This is one of those books that probably will never get the recognition it deserves; this is a book that should belong in the market, sitting on shelves at all bookstores. Yes, I think that Power Within is one that many people will enjoy. I certainly did!"

Great British Tattoo Convention 2012
As a birthday treat for my Aunt, my sister and I went with her to the Great British Tattoo Convention in London. I had been to a tattoo convention a few years ago at a local venue, and it was brilliant. But this one was far more enjoyable. You had stalls after stalls of international tattoo artists but you also had stalls for clothing, magazines, tattooing inks and accessories, jewellery, and other merch.
But unlike the convention I went to before, this one had a full bill of entertainment. On the main stage you had fashion shows, which were not really my cup of tea, but you also had short shows from the Cyanide Girls, Millie Dollar and Beatrix Von Bourbon the burlesque dancers and on the other side you had breakdancers, BMX Jumpers and BMX freestylers. So all in all it was a very enjoyable day.
[MBE Bikers - A Video I quickly edited together from all the footage I took on the day]

[My Sister & Me]
[Cyanide Girls]
This guy, Paul Sweeney (@pauljsweeney) was probably the highlight of the convention for me. He was so funny.
I have more pictures but I'm aware that most of them are erm... sexually... erm, well let's just say that the Burlesque dancers put on a very entertaining show but it might not be appropriate for younger audiences.

Starters by Lissa Price Cover
Has anyone else seen the interactive cover of Starters by Lissa Price. You download the app from android or apple app store, then you point it at the cover and it does this really cool thing. I wont say in case it ruins the effect for some people.
But I recorded it and the video's below.
This was a very good promoting technique...It made me buy it.

As I'm in my third and final year at Bangor University, two of my modules as a final Dissertation. Although I've have this whole academic year, the latent procrastinator in me I've never been able to shake since high school has yet again left the assignment till last minute. It's due in May 3rd (I will be glad for that day to be over) so unfortunately somethings are going to be delayed.
Namely the release of Deadly Secrets, the first book of the Willowhall series. I was going to work on it this month but my thoughts have to be focused on the dissertation or it's never going to get done and I won't graduate. Hopefully it will be released next month, but I will keep you posted.
