Cover Preview of Forging of a Knight Book Four!

Book Four in the Forging of a Knight series, The Stolen Thief, is almost ready and primed for October. Lora Lee, the amazing artist who has been doing the cover art for the series, has done it again. Hop on over to https://www.facebook.com/Forging.of.a... for a preview of the new cover art!

"Legend has called them the Ruinous Ones, the Dokahlfar and the Vartahlfar, evil elves and their dwarfish minions that controlled an unknown technological magic, daring to seek power beyond that of the tree and the root. They warred against their own kin, the high elves, and were defeated, fleeing into the dark, driven from the light they had wished to corrupt.

Glaive has gone missing – a secret assignment for the King gone awry. Qualtan decides to search for his half-orcne friend, and in the process, uncover the truth behind the Ruinous Ones. The knight must risk all to escape from a strange new land, fraught with perils and danger, without the benefit of his magic sword. Worse, he will be accompanied by others, servants of Those That Stand in Shadow, in a fragile truce to find freedom…or die."

Coming out in October - before the big one in Book Five in 2016!

Gen Con - where else can you see a Klingon and a Wookie on stage playing musical instruments together??

Patience, Patience, and More Reads!

So my editor is still pounding away at my manuscript for book #4 in the Forging of a Knight series, The Stolen Thief - convention time is still a few months away, and a skeletal framework for book #5 is waiting for a future flesh-out - what's a beleaguered author to do in the meantime?

Well, read more books, of course! Some vintage gothic horror tales like Blackwood's The Wendigo (similar to his other work, The Willows, which I reviewed, he really gets that creepy atmospheric Blair Witch thing going) and Machen's The White People for starters.

And for a finisher, a meaty 600+ page epic fantasy tale - The Forgotten King, Book Two of Korin's Journal by Brian Beam.

This should keep me busy for now...

More miniature updates, a nice profile on Andrew Chernak, who had been the president of Grenadier Miniatures - luckily I was able to connect with him recently - still active, working on larger historical castings nowadays...

Cover art preview for book #4, Forging of a Knight, The Stolen Thief

Here we go again - my crude illustrative concept for the front/back cover for book #4 in the Forging of a Knight series, The Stolen Thief - weaving its way to you (hopefully) by September-October of this year. I'm excited to see what Lora Lee, my illustrator, comes up with from this!

https://www.facebook.com/Forging.of.a...

Legend has called them the Ruinous Ones, the Dokahlfar and the Vartahlfar, evil elves and their dwarfish minions that controlled an unknown technological magic, daring to seek power beyond that of the tree and the root.

Worse, he will be accompanied by others, servants of Those That Stand in Shadow, in a fragile truce to find freedom…or die.
