2019

2019 is nearly over, and what a wild-ass year it's been! I suppose it's only fitting that we close this wild decade in like manner.

Back in 2009, I'd barely just arrived in Salt Lake City, and since then my life has seen about all the twists and turns, ups and downs you'd probably care to imagine. The time has taken its toll, there can be no doubt about it, but it's fair to say that for anything lost, there are other things I've gained. As I continue this long, befuddling trudge into middle age, I'm astounded by how much I'm still learning about myself, other people, and the larger world around us. Here's hoping that the years to come aren't total fuck-ups either!

Now, a brief recap of publishing in 2019:

As usual, I edited the Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter editions of HST Quarterly, the last of which actually including new work by yours truly! In addition to these regular publications, I published two anthologies: The first volume of Horror Sleaze Trash: Poems and the second volume of Horror Sleaze Trash: Prose in Poor Taste. Beyond all that, I managed to place a poem in EZPZ Yearly Review, Issue One, from Pyre Publishing. Also, I edited Blowfly by Thumper Devotchka and River House Blues by Mendes Biondo to boot. Heading into 2020, I've got books by Bogdan Dragos, John D Robinson, Judge Santiago Burdon, and likely a few others lined up as well. It's gonna be a busy year!

Thank you to everyone who took the time to read this. Thanks for all your love and support, hell, even your hatred and opposition these past 365! Now c'mon – let's make the next round count as well.
