BLURB:
A competition spirals into a tantalizing game of bondage and seduction…
Camri Burns, an ambitious real-estate agent, blindsides the rival she's secretly desired for a long time. When she's offered an all-expenses-paid trip opportunity opens the playing field.
As the biggest earner with the most notches on his bedpost, too-sexy Jackson Pratt is determined the redheaded beauty won't prevail.
When the two-some enter into a partnership, they must distract each other in order to win. After Jackson took credit on a past partnership, Camri isn't letting him off the hook. In order to ultimately succeed, they'll need to follow the rules of Under Bonded Contract. Soon she is tied in his presence.
Is it love, or simply a game of sex?
EXCERPT: (First Kiss)
"You know, I can tell you have nothing else on. The way that dress clings to your body, underwear would show. Are you tempting me, Camri?"
Before she could object further, his mouth swooped over hers, capturing her lips in a masterful, scorching kiss. She froze in his grip.
His tongue slipped between her teeth, teasing her own. He tasted of spearmint, filling her senses with a cool breeze.
Jackson pulled her harder into his muscled chest, molding their hips together. His erection fit perfectly against her body. He made a small buck.
Her breath caught in her throat.
Why in the hell was he kissing her? And why had she let this continue this far? Camri broke free from the rapturous embrace. She reared back to slap him.
Jackson caught her wrist and dragged her back against his hard, lean frame. Sliding his hand around to the small of her back, he held on tight. Camri shivered as his breath whispered in the curve of her ear.
"Ever since I knew you possessed an Ark card in your hot, little hands yesterday, I can't stop thinking about you at the hotel next week." "Well, get over it. Nothing will happen there, at least not between you and me." The vow sounded hollow even to her.
A low growl echoed from his chest. He leaned forward to kiss her again.
Camri slipped out of his ravenous hold. She walked around the desk, knees wobbling, needing some distance between their heated bodies.
Contriving to be causal, Camri began browsing her calendar. She needed a moment to compose her thoughts and get her heartbeat under control. She had to get a grip on her libido.
"Don't ever do what you just did, again."

Kerrianne Coombes Inevitable Interview & Giveaway

Lani: Thanks for stopping by and spending some time with us. Can you tell us about it your latest release? And a giveaway! YAY!!
First of all, Thank you so much for having me over! My latest release is a Contemporary Romance called ‘Inevitable’ It is a story about two people who have known each other since they were children played together, laughed together—slept together. But they both want different things out of life, so never really ‘got together’ It’s a story about Love conquering all, I suppose. ;-)
Blurb:
When Sky Denholm moved to the city to peruse a career with a large accountancy firm, her dreams of being independent and successful quickly turned into a reality. Brought up to believe that women were useful for nothing but housework and sex, Sky is desperate to prove her father wrong. She packed her bags at the age of eighteen and moved from the British countryside to the city. She would like to say that she never looked back, but one man with dark eyes and a body to die for, tempted her back regularly. Jack Rogers, a farmer and Sky’s best friend, is her anchor in life. And Sky can’t seem to break the intense pull he has on her, no matter how much their relationship goes against her own, personal code. But when her boss blackmails her, Sky begins to question her choices. When the love of Jack’s life decided that she had to taste life outside of the country, he let her go. Six years later, he is seriously regretting that choice. Sky Denholm is slipping through his fingers, and he has no idea how to bring her back home.
Lani: Of course we have to know how you got started writing. So, what prompted you to pick up the pen?
Kerrianne: I always wanted to write, but I suppose I was always doing other stuff. Jobs, babies, hobbies. And it wasn’t until my youngest started to go to playgroup that I had a few spare hours on my hands. So I took that time and wrote. I felt so guilty at first, you know, taking time all to myself—it was so indulgent. ;-) I wrote a REALLY LONG YA romance LOL My friend begged to read it, and so I let her—while I cringed the whole time. She said she loved it, and she is a very good friend—a friend who would be honest to me. And I allowed her praise to bolster my confidence—so I wrote more. And here I am… LOL
Lani: If you had to pick through your gems of works, which would you call your favorite(s) and why?
Kerrianne: I love Running Home, because it was my first published story. But I am working on an Urban Fantasy ATM and I really adore it. But, you know, I love all my stories, because when I write them, I give a way a little piece of my soul—they are a labor of love. There is a small part of me, and my own life within each book.
Lani: Back to your current release, who is your favorite character?
Kerrianne: I love Sky because she is such a strong character. She is determined and true to her beliefs—even if it blinds her. But I also love Jack—he is so loyal and honest…*Sigh* and so sexy! LOL
Lani: I always dream up and envision my characters when I write. Who would you choose to represent your characters in your story?
Kerrianne: Giles, the best friend. He is honest, to a fault, and kind. I am writing his book right now. I really like him.
Lani: I’ve found writing to be both rewarding and frustrating. What do you find most rewarding about writing?
Kerrianne: I love it all! I adore the first moment when you get an idea and sit down to start. I love that moment when you bring the characters together—the Ahah! Moment—I ADORE the endings. I get so excited when I write them.
I suppose when you sit back and think ‘This story works!” is a very rewarding moment. But, of course, when you receive a contract—that’s the cherry on the top! Frustrating?? Waiting for the ‘YES’ LOL I have come to have a nervous twitch at the word ‘No’ But, meh, it all goes with the territory, right?
Lani: Now, what is your least favorite part?
Kerrianne: Waiting. Waiting for an acceptance. Waiting for edits to start, waiting for the cover art—I am not patient at all. LOL
Lani: You know you have to give us your “How I got published” story. So, spill it.
Kerrianne: Blah, blah, blah. LOL Well, it was actually my CP (Critique partner) Kathleen Grieve. She had read Running Home and saw the Submission request from Secret Cravings, for injured ex-military romance. That’s what Running Home is. So I subb’d it—and the rest is history. It was pretty simple at that time. The road to publication though, was not simple or short. Trying to get published is certainly not for the faint of heart.
Lani: Tell us a bit about yourself. Do you have a day job?
Kerrianne: I am a married mother of two little people. I am a massive animal person, having nearly a zoo of pets in my family. I adore horses, and even worked with them for most of my adult life. I miss them Me and my family recently emigrated to France—Lyon—for my husbands work. So the language barrier stops me from working a real job, so I have been lucky enough to be able to plough the last year into writing. I am sure it is a temporary break, so I am willing to soak up all the time I can have.
Lani: Some of us have things we do to get into the writing frame of mind like music, or drinks. Do you have anything special you do to get into the writing mood?
Kerrianne: Coffee. Silence…then I can write. LOL I hate writing in a noisy room. I have to literally have no distractions. My school report always said ‘easily distracted’ I haven’t changed LOL
Lani: Are you ever at a loss for ideas? What do you do to get past those time? I don’t have them often but being out in my yard and gardens helps me get creative.
Kerrianne: Nope, never out of ideas, in fact I have too many. But I do often get stuck on how to write a particular scene, so I usually go and do housework. My brain soon comes around—anything to get out of mopping! LOL

Lani: Do you have a card file where you keep story ideas? Where do they come from?
Kerrianne: Note book! And I am never without it. Ideas come from anywhere, at anytime! So I have learned to always have something on me that I can write ideas into.
Lani: Tell us about a day in your life as a writer.
Kerrianne: Usually, I get up, get kids ready for school—take kids to school . Do a couple hours of jobs. Then I make coffee, sit and write. I get so into it that I have to set an alarm to remind me to pick up the kids LOL
Lani: Are you a daytime writer, night time writer, and do you have to be alone to write?
Kerrianne: Both. When I need to write, I do. But I do adore the atmosphere of writing at night. So perfect.
Lani: Do you have critique partners or ever been in a critique group? What was the best thing you learned from a critique?
Kerrianne: Yep, I have one, very special CP. I also am part of an on line writing group—Kelley Armstrong. And I have a small group of people who BETA read for me. I also have a small group of friends who I can bounce ideas off over a glass of wine. ;-) All invaluable as a writer.
Lani: Do you write better when you first have an idea of what your characters look like or do you write, and then add character looks?
Kerrianne: They always appear in my head as an image, the personality always comes second.
Lani: Do you always include HEA and is that type of ending important to you?
Kerrianne: ALWAYS…so far. I have an idea of a thriller, but it doesn’t have a HEA…Havent written it yet. Don’t think I can.
Lani: Where can our readers find you and your books?
Kerrianne: Secret Cravings. Amazon, Barnes and Noble, AllRomance Ebooks, goodreads
Lani: Is there anything else you want to tell our readers?
Kerrianne: Thank you. Thank you so much for reading what I write—I feel very lucky!
Lani: How long did it take you to complete the full manuscript?
Kerrianne: Three weeks, but then another two editing it before I sent it off. It was written fast.
Lani: What should the readers expect when they pick up a copy of your book?
Kerrianne: I hope that when they read Inevitable, they like my characters. Jake and Sky have such a confusing relationship—but they are both nice people. I want people to feel happy, sad and a little frustrated by the twists in the story . ;-)
Lani: What major theme(s) should the reader expect in your story?
Kerrianne: Romance. And friendship.
Lani: Who is your most favorite character in your book and why?
Kerrianne: Jake. Because he is so…honest and loyal.
Lani: Do you, by any chance, see yourself (or parts of your personality) in your favorite character?
Kerrianne: Yep, every single one I write. LOL A little piece of me, anyway.
Lani: What can you tell us about other projects you have in the works?
Kerrianne: Lots. I have the sequel to my paranormal Demon Fairy tales out in September. This one is called Cinderella. The Demon Tales 2. I also have Giles—the best friend of Jack from Inevitable’s--book on the burner. And I am hoping to finish a sexy Sci-Fi Romance very soon too.

 EXCERPT:
EXCERPT:Sky stood by the bedroom window and stared down at Jack. He was just on his way back from the horses with his little dog, Ron, at his side. He looked so damn good as he wandered around his farm with sure and confident grace. He was sex-on-legs, and Sky had long since accepted that the man made her knees weak.
Jack Rogers was the man of her dreams—dark, tanned, well built and kind. He was sensible and responsible, but he had a naughty side that set fire to each and every one of her senses. Just like in the hallway, Jack made her wild.
There was just one problem. He was here, in the same village they had grown up in, the very same village that their parents had grown up in, and it wasn’t enough for Sky. She needed excitement and change. It wasn’t enough to stay on the farm and be with Jack—although when she had weeks like this at work, she wished it was.
She watched him as he lifted two buckets and wandered over to the small pen of pigs. He tipped the water into their troughs and stood back. The pigs rushed forward, and Jack leaned down to scratch a few of them behind their ears. Sky smiled. The man was perfect.
The lure of needing to be with him tugged at her mind until she could stand it no more. She turned and snatched up her T-shirt and tugged it over her head. Three weeks away from Jack had been like torture. Usually she tried to get back once a fortnight to see him. After his uncomfortable hinting about commitment and coming back home to live the last time she visited, she had forced herself to take a step back. Life in the country, living on a farm, was not part of Sky’s master plan.
But, after three weeks apart from Jack, she could stay away no more. After that shitty meeting with her boss today, she had literally run to her car and driven non-stop to his house— his farm—and the loathed countryside. Sky jumped off the front doorstep and took a deep breath. The spring sun warmed her skin, even as a small breeze tugged at her unbound hair. When she arrived back at Jack’s she underwent an almost complete transformation. She always ditched her suits for jeans and a t- shirt, and her hair was never allowed to be tied back when Jack was around since he liked it to be free so that he could wrap the long threads around his hands. The mere idea of Jack and his strong hands in her hair gave her a shiver. No matter how much she hated the countryside and what it represented, she loved coming to see Jack
But it wasn’t what she wanted forever—it was just nice...for now.

Being drawn to the lake nestled behind the cabin with a private dock, Dylan hopes to regain his inspiration to paint. His vacation takes an erotic turn when he meets Rainie Marks on a foggy morning by the dock. She is the most beautiful woman he has ever seen. However, there is sadness and a mystery about her. Finding his inspiration, he sketches her one evening and unable to resist the passion that has sparked between them, Rainie and Dylan share a sensual night together. When Rainie tells him the truth about her past and the lake, the mystery she hides unfolds. The key to everything is the lake. Will Dylan be able to help her put the past to rest?Review by Ray Sostre, After Dark Online:One of the best romance and mystery stories I ever read. Both Woody & Tindle made an awesome story together, which was erotic, romantic and suspenseful. (Spoiler omitted here)
Great job! I LOVE IT!Amazon, B&N, Smashwords and All Romance eBooksLani: How did the idea for your story emerge?Brenda: A fellow author and friend, P. Q. Glisson (we went to HS with her husband), had some ideas for erotic stories but she stated she would never write them, and told us to use them. She strictly writes romance and YA. We took one of her ideas and wrote Rainie’s Lake. We still have her list and plan on using another one of her ideas to create an erotic read.Lani: Of course we have to know how you got started writing. So what prompted you to pick up the pen?Steve: I’ve been writing songs since high school and thought about writing a book while in college. I never thought I could sell a book to anyone other than friends. When Brenda told me she always wanted to be published, I jumped on board and the publishing began.Brenda: I, too, had written poems, short stories when I was younger, and wrote a DIY newsletter for two years after I became a mom. In 2004, I wrote a few pages of the beginning of a romance story. When Steve and I connected through Myspace in 2008 (we went to the same high school), I emailed him the story. He suggested we write it as an erotic story. I was ecstatic to learn he had a dark side too! LOLLani: If you had to pick through your gems of works, which would you call your favorite(s) and why?Steve: Best Lover in Town; not for the writing style, we’re still finding mistakes, but because it was the first book published and while writing it, Brenda and I got to know each other better. Writing BLT was a way to find out about each other's likes and dislikes, desires and fantasies. This opened our communication. We were actually living in different time zones and wrote it virtually by connecting our computers.Brenda: Our latest release, Rainie’s Lake, is my favorite. This is our first erotic paranormal. After reading Katie Salidas’s first book in her series, Immortalis, I’m hooked on paranormal now. As we wrote the last paragraph of Rainie’s Lake, I was at a lost for words. Wowwas all I could think. We did good.Lani: Back to your current release, who is your favorite character?Steve: In Rainie's Lake there are only two main characters (Rainie and Dylan). I would say Dylan would be my favorite. He's an artist who tries to help his newly found friend.Brenda: Dylan. I love both of the characters, but Dylan is a very sweet and caring man. BTW, Dylan will be back as well as a new character in Rainie’s Gift.Lani: I’ve found writing to be both rewarding and frustrating. What do you find most rewarding about writing?Steve: Meeting new readers who like our work.Brenda: Completing the book and uploading to the online retailers. As we sit and watch the MS become an eBook online, it’s exciting. Lani: Now, what is your least favorite part?Steve: I used to like marketing, but with these economic times, people don't have the extra funds to purchase books. Brenda tells me I'm to pushy by trying to get friends to purchase our books, but I feel I have to let people know we are published and where they can get their copy. Brenda: Trying to figure out a good cover for the book since this is the first impression. Scrolling through the thousands of images to find the right one; it’s very time consuming.Lani: You know you have to give us your “How I got published” story. So, spill it.Steve: Brenda and I started writing with the goal to be published. When Best Lover in Town was completed, we submitted it to several publishers, thinking it would take months to get someone to take us on board. To our happy surprise, we had a contract in hand after four weeks. After a couple of revision edits, we were in print and eBook a year later.

Lani: Tell us a bit about yourself. Do you have a day job?Steve: I’m an Excel/VBA programmer. I work from home for different companies. I enjoy ‘Wowing’ my managers with Excel features. I often get the statement: "I didn't know Excel could do that. Can we make it do…" This line of communication has them calling me back for future updates and new projects.Brenda: Steve and I have a blended family of seven grown children and four grandchildren. After working in the corporate world for so many years in commercial insurance, claims and even with a bank in Foreclosure (I won’t name the bank; LOL but this job was stressful!), I’m living my dream of working from home during the prime of my life. *smiles*Lani: Some of us have things we do to get into the writing frame of mind like music, or drinks. Do you have anything special you do to get into the writing mood?Steve: Music, coffee, and Brenda. We enjoy getting into the spa to discuss characters and plots. We keep a pen and notepad every where, even by the spa. Brenda: Coffee! and Steve. Sometimes music distracts me. We stream music on our TV through Pandora; I will play a certain genre of music when I’m adding the fluff. Lani: Are you ever at a loss for ideas? What do you do to get past those times? I don’t have them often but being out in my yard and gardens help me get creative.Steve: No loss for ideas since Brenda and I work as a team. We normally have too many ideas. Because of this, we have several working projects. The spa is our muse and our ‘get away’ from the computer, blogs, interviews, and our busy life. It brings out our creative side and gives us time to really communicate. Brenda: Ideas hit me all the time. I can sit in one setting and write, by hand, four pages. Then the notes are typed into Word to be used on either the current manuscript or a future project. We organize our books and ideas in one folder with several directories. Lani: Tell us about a day in your life as a writer.Steve: Brenda has her laptop and I have mine. We pretty much sit on the sofa for 18 hours a day, getting up now and then for a break, and to eat. We write on stories, work on blogs, answer interview questions, schedule guest spots and email interview questions to other writers, and host several websites. Brenda: I reluctantly get out of bed mid-morning (We are night owls!). Brew coffee, boot up the laptop, feed Lucy; our cat, load the dishwasher and then I settle in to check emails, our blogs and web sites. We co-own two other sites; An Avid Reader’s Haven with Deanna Jewel, Romance Author (we’re aka Louise James, Author of Suspense/Mystery) and A Naughty Reader’s Boudoir with Tonya Kinzer, Erotic Author. I also have a book review blog: Bren’s Book Reviews. Lani: Are you a daytime writer, night time writer, and do you have to be alone to write? Steve: We write when we can. We are normally up until 3AM and never get everything on our To Do list completed.Brenda: Well since we’re not morning people, we do most of our writing late afternoon on into the evening. Around 11 PM, we close the laptops and watch a movie. Steve and I have tried to write a story without the other; it just doesn’t work. Our creative sides are connected.Lani: Do you have critique partners or ever been in a critique group? What was the best thing you learned from a critique? Steve: We have author Tonya Kinzer proof read our erotic manuscripts and we critique her work also. Tonya has helped us to become better writers. She pointed out point of view problems and helped us make the dialogue tighter between the characters.Brenda: Tonya and Deanna Jewel are our critique partners. I’ve also critiqued for several other authors and recently landed my first paid editing job for Dimitri Sarantis, Romance Author. Editing helps to make our writing better. Something I learned from critiquing – a comma goes before the word ‘too’ if used at the end of a sentence. LOL I didn’t know this! Ex....I love to read Patricia Cornwell’s books, too.Lani: What should the readers expect when they pick up a copy of your book? Steve: Any one who reads our books will walk away with new ideas about sex and fun things to use as playful toys. We like to incorporate items so the reader will remember our books when they see something during the day: BLTs, ice, fruit, vegetables and etc. Brenda: We hope our readers will be able to open up to their partner and share their desires and fantasies. Our books can be read alone but reading them together is way more fun and sexy. Read your favorite scene to your partner; get em hot and bothered. *wink*Lani: Do you always include HEA and is that type of ending important to you?Steve: We have a mix of happy ever after and tragic endings. You never know until the last chapter if the girl gets the guy or vice versa.Brenda: Life isn’t always HEA but the sexual fulfillment is completed so it’s not that important. The important ingredient in a story is to draw the readers in and they fall in love with the characters.Lani: What can you tell us about other projects you have in the works?Brenda: We have several works in progress. Scarlett’s Cowboy, a contemporary erotic western due to be released this year. We’re writing our second installment for Triangle of Secrets - Book Two: featuring Morgan, Vivian and Kirk. For those of you that read Book One, you've met Morgan and Kirk is Scott's dad. Vivian is an old flame of Kirk's. Ummm, makes for an interesting triangle; wouldn't you say?We also have an erotic time travel in notes. No title yet but we’ll leave you with a teaser! Assistant Curator Layla Massri is ecstatic when she is asked to display and maintain the Hellenistic Egyptian exhibit; her first event to oversee at the Dallas Museum. The most appealing ancient artifact is Cleopatra’s beautiful chaise lounge. Layla, being half-Egyptain herself, is drawn to lie upon the chaise one night after the museum closes. Lani: Where can the readers find you and your books?Brenda & Steve: We hang out everyday on the following sites:PinterestFacebook Fan pageBloggerTwitterWeb siteGoodreadsAmazon Author PagefReado
Lani: Is there anything else you want to tell our readers?Brenda & Steve: Lani, thanks again for having us here and Readers, we hope you enjoyed our interview. Tonya Kinzer--Writing in the BDSM World--Prize Alert
Lani, thank you for having me as your guest this week! I can’t wait to chat with your readers should they leave a comment below. Readers, be sure to also click on the contest links below to get your entries in there! Let’s get started!
Writing in the BDSM World
This genre is exploding out there! Some authors know what they’re talking about and some need to research a little more. There are many, many different areas of the genre such as deprivation, forced orgasm, sexual slavery, golden showers, whipping, needles, hot wax, bondage, etc. Many readers may not have a lot of knowledge about what goes on in the lifestyle of those who live in the BDSM world…I guess because I want readers to understand that it’s not just kinky fun nor is it a perverted way of life. The main aspect of BDSM is the respect partners have for each other. They know where the power lies and who allows things to proceed. Everyone has a safeword and your partner better be aware of it.
I have a few links on my website for curious readers to do research; at least start with a few of the links and go from there…Safe, Sane, and Consensual! You and your partner need to know each of limits and boundaries. Participating in BDSM isn’t something one should jump into without doing research to make sure the lifestyle is a good fit for you and your partner(s). People can get hurt easily if precautions are not taken before you put your life into another person’s hands. Take the simple satin scarf blindfold…do you fully trust the one blindfolding you? Would they care if what they’re doing to you is going to hurt or maim you? If you can’t answer that without still leaving a question in your mind, do not proceed!
Another main point is if you’re okay in your mind with WHO you are! BDSM is a mind game and can mess you up if you get in a partnership with a Dom or Master who is going to belittle you, mentally abuse you and constantly talk down to you. Your self-esteem can take a beating if you’re not confident of where you stand in life. Be confident and know what you’re getting into.Being a submissive is not being a slave! Doms and Masters could NOT do what they do in the lifestyle if their submissive did not allow them to do what they do with their submissive! Keep that in mind as you look further into this or watch the videos. So…who really holds the power in the relationship?
A good Dom or Master will always respect you as a person and they care if they cause you too much pain, which brings me to the next point. Your Dom better know how far you can go pain-wise. Everyone is not on the same pain level - some DO enjoy more pain to get the sexual satisfaction they’re looking for. That doesn’t mean everyone is on that level. A firm discussion of limits is in order.
I could go on forever here but stop by my website and check out my Links page. Look into the subject matter and form your own opinion. Not everyone is into the lifestyle but….I can tell you….deep in YOUR mind lays that little dark, secret place where all of you wonder what it would be like to be blindfolded, tied up and forced to enjoy slow, erotic sex play!
Lani: Tell us a little bit about yourself:
Tonya: I live in the Pacific Northwest but am originally from the east coast area. I love the lower humidity where I am now rather than the sweltering humid summers back there….not to mention the bird-size mosquitoes! Okay, that is stretching it a bit but they’re big enough to carry you away I swear! [image error]
Lani: Let’s start out by getting the name of your newest release and what genre/category it falls into?
Tonya: My newest release is Master’s Email and it released on June 17th! Once again it falls into the BDSM genre but is not part of The Boss’s Pet series like all my prior books. Master’s Email is about voyeurism as her Master enjoys watching his submissive perform for him before cameras that he’s installed throughout their home. He also shares his house key with another Dom who stops in to visit for a training session with his submissive. Click the link to read a XXX-rated excerpt!
Read HERE I’m also working on another series which will be western and include hot, sweaty cowboys and the women who love them…or love on them! *wink* My website has more information.
Lani: Please finish this sentence: The best thing about being an author is…
Tonya: ooooo…that I get to create stories that tug at everyone’s dirty little secrets! We all have them; some like to pretend they don’t but while they read in the privacy of their room or computer, they would give their right arm to be in my stories as the heroine!
Lani: Who was the first writer you met online, or in person?
Tonya: I’ve met many authors online but there are two that seemed to form a wonderful relationship with me and we talk on messenger every day! Brenda Woody and Steve Tindle are also co-owners with me over at Naughty Reader’s Boudoir and we’re having a blast! We also critique for each other, bounce ideas for covers or story lines off each other and I will get to meet them in October when I travel across country. I can’t wait! I know we won’t get any sleep because we’ll be up all night chatting!
Lani: How much of real life do you put in your writing?
Tonya: I’ll never answer that! *wicked laugh* What would the readers have to fantasize about if they knew it all? Sorry, hons!
Lani: Have you tried writing with another author?
Tonya: Brenda, Steve and I are contemplating that right now. We’re not sure if we’ll get something together in time for the season holidays or not so keep an eye on our websites and in my newsletter! (subscribing could get you in on the monthly drawing I do!) [image error]
Lani: To date, what has been the best advice or words of encouragement you've received?
Tonya: A long time ago, I belonged to a critique group and I learned so much about author voice, edits, point of view…wow! The best advice I pulled from them was to read your work out loud when you think you’re done. Read into a recorder and play it back if you have to. If it doesn’t read smooth when you listen to the replay, it won’t read smooth for your readers. Using the word find tool in Word is also helpful, mainly to see how often she/he is used, especially to begin sentences!!! I think that’s my biggest pet peeve. Vary your sentence beginnings and structure. Short choppy sentences make me nuts…they have their place but change it up. Also don’t make it sound like an instruction manual! He did this, he did that, he did this…use all five senses and convey that through thoughts to your reader. Okay, I’ll stop….anther subject I could go on for hours about!
Lani: When not writing, where or what can you be found doing?
Tonya: I’ll still be at my computer creating covers, web banners, buttons, promo items or marketing…I love it all!
Lani: What are your hobbies or interests outside of writing?
Tonya: I love to putz in the yard trimming bushes, pulling weeds, planting more flowers…it allows me to talk with my characters and glean where they might want the story to go.
Lani: What type of music to you like?
Tonya: I really enjoy the classic rock from the 60’s and 70’s! Thank you, Mare, for having me today. Readers, thank you for stopping in to read. I hope you visit my sites, follow my blog and subscribe to my newsletter! (I pick one winner a month from each!) The Bank Job with Bonnie Sansom
Lani: Thanks for stopping by and spending some time with us. Can you tell us about it your latest release?

Blurb: Yes, The Bank Job is out. Here’s a sample.
Short Blurb
When stubborn Kat and dom Jarrod meet during a bank robbery, things quickly get heated. She refuses to be a victim and he just wants everyone to get out alive. Can Jarrod tame her before they both get killed?
Long Blurb
Katherine ‘Kat’ Anderson goes to deposit her check and ends up in the middle of a bank robbery. She refuses to cower and will fight them to the bitter end—to the robbers she’s a pain in the ass, but to the manager she’s sexy as hell.
Jarrod Miller’s day started off bad and only gets worse when three armed men burst into the bank he manages. He does everything he can to ensure his customers get out alive, but pink-haired Kat seems determined to get them killed.
When they are locked in an office together, things start to heat up. Between Kat’s stubborn defiance and Jarrod’s Dom attitude, will they rip each other apart or just their clothes off?
Lani: Of course we have to know how you got started writing. So, what prompted you to pick up the pen?
Guest: I had to give up my job to have my daughter so I just naturally started writing. It gave me something to do and I enjoyed it. Of course now with deadlines it’s not quite as fun as it was when I was writing for myself. lol
Lani: If you had to pick through your gems of works, which would you call your favorite(s) and why?
Guest: Eternal Bliss it was the first book I wrote.

Lani: Back to your current release, who is your favorite character?
Guest: That would have to be Kat. She’s so tough and witty I just love her.
Lani: I always dream up and envision my characters when I write. Who would you choose to represent your characters in your story?
Guest: Out of all of my books I would expect Kyle (Eternal Bliss) or Derek (Jack’s Christmas Wish. They are both alpha males and would probably fight for it.

Lani: I’ve found writing to be both rewarding and frustrating. What do you find most rewarding about writing?
Guest: Seeing my name on a published book.
Lani: Now, what is your least favorite part?
Guest: Sometimes the worst part is the writing and editing that are the least favorite. Now don’t get me wrong here I love writing, but when my muse takes an extended vacation it really sucks.
Lani: You know you have to give us your “How I got published” story. So, spill it.
Guest: Not too much to it. I turned the story into Renaissance E-Books Inc. and I was approved immediately. Thanks Sascha Illyvich.

Lani: Tell us a bit about yourself. Do you have a day job?
Guest: No I don’t have a day job. Well, let me take that back I have an everyday job as a wife housekeeper and a mom, but it doesn’t pay very much.
Lani: Some of us have things we do to get into the writing frame of mind like music, or drinks. Do you have anything special you do to get into the writing mood?
Guest: Yes. I turn on Nickelback and go to work.
Lani: Oh, I love Nickelback! Are you ever at a loss for ideas? What do you do to get past those time? I don’t have them often but being out in my yard and gardens helps me get creative.
Guest: I watch movies and read books to get my creative juices flowing.
Lani: Do you have a card file where you keep story ideas? Where do they come from?
Guest: Nope, they’re in my head. I immediately open a new document and start typing.
Lani: Tell us about a day in your life as a writer.
Guest: Well, that’s easy enough. I get up, make coffee and begin. I also stay in my pajamas, but don’t tell anyone.

Lani: Are you a daytime writer, night time writer, and do you have to be alone to write?
Guest: I’m an anytime of the day writer. I wish I could be alone to write, but I have a little one.
Lani: Do you have critique partners or ever been in a critique group? What was the best thing you learned from a critique?
Guest: I have one and that’s you. I’ve learned quite a bit to tell the truth. It makes me a better writer.
Lani: Do you write better when you first have an idea of what your characters look like or do you write, and then add character looks?
Guest: I always see my characters before I write.
Lani: Do you always include HEA and is that type of ending important to you?
Guest: Most of the time, but The Bank Job has a HFN ending. I thought it fit the story better.
Lani: Where can our readers find you and your books?
Guest: You can find me on Facebook I’m almost always on. Facebook Blog Twitter
And for my books: Bonni Sansom on Amazon.
Lani: Is there anything else you want to tell our readers?
Guest: Yes! Please buy my books. lol
Lani: Could you tell our readers when you first thought about writing fiction?
Guest: I’ve always written, but it was all poems and stuff like that, but when I started reading erotic romance I wanted to get my fingers wet so to speak. It was really easy as the ideas poured in.
Lani: How did the idea for your story emerge?
Guest: It just hit me while I was in the shower.
Lani: How long did it take you to complete the full manuscript?
Guest: Eternal Bliss took me a year because I lost it and had to start over again. The Bank Job was just a few months.
Lani: What should the readers expect when they pick up a copy of your book?
Guest: They should have a partner available or a toy their choice.

Lani: What major theme(s) should the reader expect in your story?
Guest: Erotic lovin’
Lani: Who is your most favorite character in your book and why?
Guest: In The Bank Job it would have to be Kat. She’s feisty
Lani: Do you, by any chance, see yourself (or parts of your personality) in your favorite character?
Guest: In Laine (Eternal Bliss)

Lani: How much of *you* did it seep in your character's creation?
Guest: I would say quite a bit. I’m living through their lives and my emotions are their emotions.
Lani: What can you tell us about other projects you have in the works?
Guest: I have about 6 wip’s right now and I’m working on getting them all out there.
Now something fun:
Chocolate or Vanilla? Guest: Chocolate
Pepperoni/Cheese/Supreme pizza?Guest: Pepperoni Pizza
Favorite Movie? Guest: Hitman
Werewolf or Vampire?Guest: Vamps all the way!

The Bank Job Excerpt:
He arranged her arms and used fur lined cuffs to secure her wrists to the bed. Now she was completely vulnerable to him. He could do whatever he wanted and she would just have to take it. That alone made her wetter."Now, I'm going to ask you some questions and if you want to come, you'll answer honestly. If you want this to stop, your safe word is red. Now say your word.""Red." Her body felt like a current of electricity was running through it. She was absolutely alive with excitement. Kat tugged and tested her restraints and none of them budged. She was truly at his mercy.Jarrod walked over to the other side of the bed and picked up the toy. After turning it on, he lightly touched it to her nipple."Ahh, that feels so good." Her head dropped back onto the bed as she let herself relax to the vibrations. Her nipple stiffened to a hard point under his ministrations. She squirmed a bit as he switched to her other nipple."Does this excite you?" He pressed down harder on her nipple with the vibrating wand."Yes, Sir." She tugged on her wrist restraints, unable to remain still. He moved the vibrator to the side of her neck, sending chills all over her body and sensitizing every inch of her. Slowly he traced the wand down her side to the curve of her hip, then to the V of her mound. Her breathing ratcheted up a notch, becoming ragged pants."Oh God, just fuck me already. I want to come." She couldn't hold still no matter what."Kat, tell me you're mine."Her body stiffened. No, she couldn't tell him that. It wasn't true. She would never belong to a man.Jarrod placed the head of the wand on her clit then moved it to her labia. He never actually got her to the point of climax. Her body was hot, on fire with lust and this was torture for her.Jarrod slipped the wand through her slit and grazed her clit again, causing her muscles to twitch and jump as she took in a ratcheting breath."Kat, tell me you're mine.""No. I can't."With that, he stopped touching her altogether and left to get another toy from his tray. She watched him carefully as he selected something necklace like. When Jarrod got close enough for her to get a good look, Kat realized what it was—weights for her nipple rings.Oh shit! My nipples are so sensitive I might not be able to stand the pleasure."How about we try something else?" He attached the weights to her nipple rings and smiled as he stood back to admire his handy work. "You're a lovely shade of pink when you're turned on.""Asshole." She muttered under her breath."What was that? I didn't catch what you said." He smiled again. She knew damn well he heard her. Now he was just playing with her."I said asshole, Sir." She tugged on her wrists again. If only she could touch herself just once, she'd go off like a roman candle. Now she wasn't so sure she liked being tied up."That's what I thought you said. You have a safe word; if you wish to use it, all of this stops." He tugged lightly on the weights. Kat strained against her bonds and drew in a gasping moan.

Lani Rhea Presents: Real American Heroes with Lyrical Press
Lyrical Press, along with author Lani Rhea, are proud to announce Lyrical's new line Real American Heroes.
Lani Rhea Presents: Real America Heroes is set to launch in 2013.
Key features of this line include:
- A real American solider will be featured on the cover.- The soldier's name will be used for the hero.- All stories will be military-based. - Care package will be sent to the solider by Lyrical Press.- 100% of revenue earned on Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Veteran's Day - through Lyrical's store, as well as participating vendors - will go directly to the soldier for the term of the book's publication with Lyrical Press.- Specialized marketing and promotion.
We're giving Lyrical authors first crack at submitting for this line! This is also one of the rare times we'll accept a synopsis, rather than a finished book.
- Must be between 25,000 - 45,000 words- Must be military-themed- Hero must be in the military - this is subject to whatever branch the Real Hero is in, but so far, we have men from the Army interested in participating! - No erotica, as this might embarrass the participating solider. So, hot only - nothing red hot or extreme.
Anyone interested? Shoot me an email at publisher@lyricalpress.com! I have to say, we're super excited about this!
Best,
Renee Rocco Publisher, Lyrical Press, Inc.
