The Day Zombies Ruined My Perfectly Boring Life Cover and Trailer Coming SOON!

So I finally narrowed down the list of songs for The Day Zombies Ruined My Perfectly Boring Life book trailer and made a decision on one! Yay! I think people who like zombies will dig it—reminds me of Nine Inch Nails and the music in the movie Seven. I don’t know, maybe it’s just the visual it brings of the young Brad Pitt in that movie. But I’m really stoked about it, and hope everyone else will be, too.

As for the book cover, I promised my young model I would wait until after prom to post it. Prom is this weekend so look for the big cover reveal on Monday, April 30th! It's pretty sweet. Even people who don't like zombies love it so far. Stay tuned!

So Excited About My Book Trailer!

Today I received a major schooling on music copyright infringements. I had created my book trailer with a beautiful song that I totally adore, but YouTube blocked it because I didn't have rights to the song.

At first I was seriously annoyed. I bought the song from iTunes long ago. I have never once illegally downloaded a song. And that artist probably makes more than enough money, so why would they need more of mine? Then I thought about it and realized it would be the same as someone posting my book for others to read for free. I worked hard on my book and deserve to be paid for it! So instead, I visited a website a friend recommended where you can buy the rights to a musical score and found a very beautiful and moving piano arrangement that I am as equally as happy with.

This trailer was a lot of fun to make aside from the whole musical issue and I have been getting great reactions from it. So sit back, grab some popcorn, and enjoy the show!
