THE RHETORIC OF FAILURE
The year is 1983, and ”Satanic panic" is raging in America like a wildfire; religious zealots see the devil in everything from household products to rock ’n roll. Three awkward and isolated Southern California teens spend their idle time with seances and harmless roleplay- but the fun stops when they realize that they’re not alone in their fantasy worlds, and not in a good way…
Work on my next novel, THE RHETORIC OF FAILURE, continues.

YESTERDAY'S RIVER & THE MAN WITH THE SEPTEMBER FACE
Going forward, two of my books- YESTERDAY'S RIVER, and THE MAN WITH THE SEPTEMBER FACE- will no longer be available on Amazon Kindle. Here's why.
While Kindle is a wonderful format, it doesn't allow for a lot of control, so far as how the text is presented. Authors are allowed only a few options so far as fonts, and individual readers can make their own adjustments, changing the font size of the print as well as its style. YESTERDAY'S RIVER is meant to be a book within a book; its style demanded a distinct difference in the fonts that were used, which is something that the author can't control on Kindle. Meanwhile, THE MAN WITH THE SEPTEMBER FACE is meant to be presented as a historical dossier; on Kindle the result can be quite disconcerting since it may not be clear that you're supposed to be looking at different documents. These two books are NOT going away, and I don't see a similar fate for any of my other books, past or future. YESTERDAY'S RIVER and THE MAN WITH THE SEPTEMBER FACE will always be available in paperback exclusively through Amazon. They're meant to be held by readers in a traditional way.
