Robot Attacks Child.

During a chess game, no less. Which is pretty 2022 the future is now headline. My guess is the computers are testing humanity to see how far they can push us before we push back. Be safe out there.

It's Magic

Always gets me, even though I know that it's a trick, but magic can seem magical.
As does this
But this video explains it all. Impressive.

200 Billion Stars

I stared at the Milky Way for the first time in a decade in France. Beautiful stuff. I forgot that it had 200 billion stars ✨
That's non-trivial amounts, you know?
So now the great Webb will look into the early (most distant, which means about 400mya the Big Bang) parts of the universe and come back to us with some beautiful images.
Oh my.
I still can't truly wrap my head around the size and the fact that when we look at the stars we're looking at a distant past. Others can't either.

Mask up. Prolly a N95 and or KN94

Solid stuff here. BA.5 will be rough and the more we're unmasked the more viruses will have a chance to mutate and even recombine in a single person. Fun fun. Listen and learn.
I also want to discuss the fact that in our lowest level of deaths, we were talking about 300 per day, which is 130,000 per year. Still nothing to sneeze at, and I'm impressed that we've managed to completely forget about it (nevermind the long term problems with it etc)

Crime

Good article on Crime. Mainly that it was shutting down of the court systems that helped drive up crime:
Above all, experts say, the shutdowns undermined the promise that crimes would be promptly punished. The theory that “swift, certain and fair” consequences deter crimes is credited to the late criminologist Mark Kleiman. The idea is that it’s the speed of repercussions, rather than their severity, that matters most. By putting the justice system on hold for so long, many jurisdictions weakened that effect.
Interesting stuff that would explain a lot.

Like ancient lands I used to travel and float between and through.
Be careful they say, the world is approaching midnight.

That Drive

In Paris with signs on every single overpass pointing to 48k dead from pollution.

on the road on the sky, on the clouds and still feeling fine. Done this a hundred times before cause I've been everywhere, man, and truth be told I've always been trying to get away from others but also maybe me. And that last one is a sticking point. I mean the me that I try to run from or at least did.

Now it's all writing and creating something.
