Since the boys in our“Lucky Moon” series are in a band called Luck and part of their band logo is a four-leaf clover, I felt today would be a fitting day to give away a couple of books. :D

The prize:

Paperbacks of Moonlight Becomes You (Lucky Moon #1) & The Luckiest (Lucky Moon #2), as pictured above. Aren’t they pretty? Winner chooses whether they’re signed or not.(Note: These are gay (m/m) romances and contain erotic content.)

News: I’m a Distracted Writer

3/16/15

Cake decorating class, part two, went really well. I got to decorate an actual cake this time! It’s really pretty easy, which is good because my artistic talents haven’t blossomed. I can write a story, but I’ll only ever be capable of drawing stick figures. The instructor asked if I was making a turtle in giraffe shape… Not sure if that was a compliment. I have two more classes to go. Next time I’m learning how to make frosting sunflowers and leaves on coo...

News: I Caught a Cold

3/10/15

I have caught a cold. Bleh. I safely made it all winter through subzero temperatures while working at a school filled with children constantly getting one plague or another, yet the moment the weather started to warm my nose turned into a faucet. It’s vile and I’m spending so much time feeling icky that I haven’t been able to get anything written. All I want to do is curl up with a book and feel sorry for myself. I’m hoping that my cold is only a last ditch atte...

It's a Bird, It's a Plane, It's a New Story!

3/04/15

I have always wanted to write a superhero story. There are dozens of
amazing stories out there, not to mention the great work Marvel, DC, and
others have done with the superhero genre. Until now I’ve never
actually had a viable plot that would grow into a real story. I’ve had
ideas and hopes that a superhero character might pan out, but nothing
has ever manifested. Two days ago that finally changed and I’ve begun
working on my first superhero story!
I don’t have...

News: Writing Baffling Dragons

2/25/15

I really do baffle myself sometimes. I had just finished adding 5k words to Dragon Dilemma
when I stopped to write my last blog posting, but instead of returning
to Dilemma when the post went live, I started working on Dragon Detective
again. I honestly have no idea why my muses insist on my finishing
Detective (book four) before I’m even halfway through Dilemma (book
three). It makes zero sense to me, but that’s the way it’s going
regardless. There is a very strong...

News: Making Progress With Dragons

2/23/15

I
had a look at the current poll numbers for the snippet in this month’s
newsletter and got a little kick in the pants. You guys are voting for Dragon Dilemma,
which would be awesome if I actually had enough written to pull a good
snippet from. As of three days ago there was barely 2k words put
together for the story. When I originally included Dilemma in the poll,
I thought I would have plenty written a month later when the poll
closed and that’s not the case! That means...

News: Good and Bad

2/20/15

I have heard from LT3 about Dragon Deception and Thunderbird. They accepted Deception, which means my Supernatural
Consultant series is chugging along quickly. I need to get back to
working on book three, Dragon Dilemma,
so I can keep up the excellent momentum. Thunderbird received a
rejection letter. This means I will not have a story in LT3’s
Intertwined call. They said a couple of things in the letter, foremost
of which was that the story needs at least another 10k words for i...

At A Standstill

I haven’t written anything in almost a week. Arg! Aggravating doesn’t even begin to cover it. Every time I sit down in front of my computer
to put some words down in any of my active stories, I get distracted by
the internet and nothing ends up getting written. Ge-Mi and Dragon
Detective have both reached transitional scenes, which are hard to get
right and always seem to require more time and planning that I want them
to. Ge-Mi is moving from the introductory portions of setting...
